Had a pretty great session yesterday. Ran amazing, as you’ll see...2 biggest hands:
Open 63hh on the button over a few limpers to $12. Fellow in seat 7 decides to limp reraise, but he only goes to $25. Four of us to a flop. 754r one heart. One check to him, he continues for $50, one fold, and I decide to flat. The lady on his right decides this is a good time to check raise to $200 (nearly her whole stack), and he snap calls. We of course rip it for $240 total, they both call. Runout 2 hearts, but the board pairs on the river and I’m sure I’m now beat...nope. Scoop a big one.
Several hours later, bunch of limps and the button goes to $13. I have A9dd and decide to pop it to $45 from the S/BB (I’d bought the button). Now things get interesting. UTG flats the $45, our friend from Seat 7 also flats the $45, and the button of course comes along. What the hell did I get myself into? Flop...K99ccx. Well. That was fortuitous. I try to think of what I’d bet with AQ or JJ, and settle on $75. Two folds, and the button does not fold, and does not call. He makes it $210. He’s only got about $175 back, and calling here looks stupidly strong anyway, so I go ahead and rip it in. He doesn’t snap and we know we’re not against KK. Eventually he calls and we’re against AK. Holds.
In for $500, our for just under $1200
