Monday recap
So played about 10 hours at the Rio, same 2-5 NL game... the game was up and down, but mostly pretty action-y and only 1-2 pro types at a time. The game got more charged up when two Swedish buddies arrive in the 1 and 2 seats. They literally each had a plastic bag full of cash chips, as if they bagged a tournament lol. They both bought in for 1.5-2k - over the max, but no one seemed to mind...
My day was relatively uneventful from a poker standpoint. Somewhat card dead, but mostly due to .. um... drinking heavily from about 2p - 11p. I'm good at not getting out of line when drinking, but certainly miss opportunities, etc. Had fun, played the roll call game. One guy asked me if I did that to gain poker info on my opponents haha. It definitely livens up the table to ask that question imo..
Ended up down 100-200. Got too tired and forgot to a picture of the delicious fried chicken breast I got on my way back to bed.
Oh, my buddy made day 2 of super senior event. He's pretty short, and a way to go before the bubble, but that means I'll be at the Rio by 11 am.
Plan for Tuesday: drink less, update more
I definitely need to wait until dinner time for drinks haha... (although if I drink early and could come home and nap and maybe go out for a middle-of-the-night session!).
And I hope to share some hand histories throughout the day. I'm not good at taking breaks, and it would be good for me.
Day 3 starts now - may jump into Rio 1-1 PLO before walk to the Rio...
