Great. Lots of action, most tables are 8 handed at the moment.

Was there a month ago and games were the same as pre-COVID. I played at Bellagio, PH, Venetian and Wynn.

Poker economy is typically a pyramid.

Your 1/2 and 1/3 games will have most tables. You'll have a decent amount of 2/5, but still fewer tables ran 1/2 and 1/3. You will have fewer tables of 5/10 than 2/5. And so on.

What are the corona rules in casinos? Is being vaccinated mandatory?

This old town's filled with sin
It'll swallow you in
If you've got some money to burn
Take a seat right away
No vaccine to play
But Satan is waiting his turn

This old virus gonna leave you in the poor house
It seems like this whole town's insane
On the casino floor a gold plated door
Won't keep out Wuhan's burning rain

The scientists say
It'll all wash away
But we don't believe any more
So we've got on our masks,
Cause nobody's asked
To show vaccine proof at the door

(Coronas are free for players, but tip your server.)

Gzesh is that what your feelings are at the tables? I suspect this nonsense is going on as well, but its hard to gauge.

To be frank, I got vaccinated a couple of months ago, I do not look to play poker for any significant economic benefit, which is a good thing because I am not good at playing other than for my own entertainment.

I am not a good judge of "the tables" generally as I've only played live 3 or 4 times since March 2020.

Entertainment value is still to be had, my feeling is that wearing a mask is common sense, like a poker/gambling condom if you will.

No offense to our Southern players, but jfc .... what is the vaccination rate in Miss, Ala and Georgia ? It's not the locals in Nevada I would worry about, I am less sanguine about the tourists.

Before the plexiglass went up, I played at the Golden Nugget, where being masked was not much of an annoyance. Hated the plexiglass however. I haven't played since the plexiglass came down around Las Vegas, but will give it a shot after I get back next week, albeit with a mask on.

(I do wear a mask frequently here in Costa Rica , in public or in a group/office setting. It is required also while traveling to/from the US. More than masks however, it sucks that there is a 9 pm curfew here, haven't even looked at a casino here (or in Panama where the games were really fun pre March 2020.)

I think in these Southern states it's more the rural areas out in the sticks keeping vaccination numbers low. But how likely is that demographic to take a trip to Vegas?

It shouldn't matter much to people that are vaccinated anyway.

pig4bill: if you mean for immediate mortality risk, sure. But with anything like this longer term effects could still be in play. There are things worse than death.

And as far as demographics, i wouldnt say its just rural areas.... i'd say its more of the beliefs and narratives down there as a whole (e.g. dont tread on my freedumbs). I've spent maybe 3 months this year alone in several large Texas cities and i can tell you there's a massive DGAF for anyone but myself kind of mentality down there. Sure, there's still people who care, but there seemingly is a noticeable portion who don't. And the rift in factual information certainly seem extreme unfortunately.

Wat? If you didn't think the vaccine worked, why would you get it? If you think it works, why worry about catching it?

very good - even casual players are taking their shot at 5/10 NL here and there. The lower games have a ton of people who have been itching to get back out there. I hope it lasts. I am back in September and hoping for great action right before all the grinders fly into town

If I'm vaccinated: yes, I am safe from the current COVID virus.

If everyone possible is vaccinated: the virus most likely dies out completely.

If not enough people are vaccinated: the virus continues on and is constantly at risk of mutating.

There used to be a thread where people were stridently advocating sleeping in one's car.

Generally speaking however, check South Point if you are asking about a couple of days to a week.

If you are looking for a month or longer, like for the WSOP, you might try AirBnB.

generally its the worst a few blocks in any direction, then as you keep going towards the S and W it gets better, and to the N and E it remains marginal.

Can anyone recommend where to find a low stakes limit game (3-6, 4-8) at one of the major properties?

Thank you
