Venetian did a full 180 going from 4+0 to 5+1 while Caesars Palace did the opposite going from 5+1 to 4+0. Which room will be more busy by WSOP 2017?

MGM used to be 4+0 and now is either 4+1 or 4+2. Are they more busy?

I'd guess when it comes to busy times, nobody cares about the rake. Tournament structures and location will dictate what rooms are busy a lot more than cash game rake.

The time the rake matters is non-busy times when you are trying to drive your baseline/regs traffic.

If the jackpot drop is $2, what part of the $2 goes to the jackpot, and what percent of the $2 goes directly to the Casinos bottom line ??

I think most players think it all goes to jackpots/promos, I have a strong suspicion the house keeps a certain percentage of it.

Is this jackpot money strictly regulated, and watched with accurate accountability ?

I know a large percentage of side bets in other table games, (blackjack for instance) go right to the bottom line of the casino.

Do the Casinos disclose administrative fees on poker room jackpot money ?

I could be way off on this but I remember hearing somewhere the casinos can't touch the promo money and have to give it back to the players in one way or another. NV state law?

They do keep some percentage I'm pretty sure as a "handling fee" or something. I'm guessing it's 10% or slightly more.

Orleans now has a $2 promo drop in the O8 games; it used to be $1. All the new money goes to people who play an insane number of hours in the room, so this really hurts non-regs.

I was involved in a room-share on one of their bad-beat jackpots and it took over 2 hours to get paid and it was only that "quick" because I told them that I had a plane flight.

Here are the ones I know of for sure:

Harrah’s 5+2
Bally’s same
Caesars 5+0
Bellagio 5+0
Mirage 5+2
MGM 5+2
South point 4+1

I though planet Hollywood was 5+2 but I’m no longer certain.

It’s kind of depressing how it’s gone up in just two years.

Are we gonna post in here in 2020 that the rake is $6+3?

does the mirage ever run out of the jackpot fund? Running $2 drop for jackpot and paying out like $500 for a royal flush, i'd imagine they are printing money just managing the surplus.

Why would you think that about the Mirage?

I mean, Bally’s is taking $2 and all you get is a $20 comped buffet. Pretty sure that costs then about $3 per player? If that.
