Is there really no one out there with recent pics of Steve's alien head playing or even better loitering in a poker room and or casino?

My only Vegas trip thus far was last year during the series and this guy was the only non-known pro that stood out to me, even though at the time I had no idea of the legend. Played with him in a Daily Deepstack and when he busted the entire table cheered quitely as he had been berated anyone that won a pot from him. Brought a smile to my face when I read page one, but just got sadder as I read on.

I've played in tournaments with him, as well. He is a confirmed whiner, and pretty unbearable to be at a table with.

I've only been to the WSOP one time, in 2011 and I saw back pack Steve almost every day. I played in several daily deep stacks and everybody seemed to know him. He talks nonstop at the table, and was very annoying/disruptive. I made a final table as did Steve. There were at least three maybe more people railing him that he owed money to. He joked about it. He eventually won that event for over $13,000.

He got most of my chips 6 handed when he limped on the button with K7o. I flopped two pair on a suited board. Heads up with Steve I made a large bet, he called, and picked up a gut shot using the 7 on the turn to go with his flush draw using the K. He made the straight on the river. I went out in 6th shortly after that hand, so I didn't get to see the parade when he went to the cage to get his $$.

I'm no expert, but I think limping on the button at a final table is bad. My paying off his river shove with two small pair was bad also, but cashing for about $1,800 was nice for a $200 tourney.

I think the daily deep stacks at the RIO are a good value. Lots of bad players, tourists and if he's not banned, you'll see backpack Steve.

Played with this guy in a Venetian tournament once...... he arrived at my table 30 mins or so into the tournament.

Less than 10 minutes later (we both had roughly starting stacks), I 3-bet him with AA and he 4bet shoves all-in..... I call and he turns over J8 offsuit.

He hits a straight and I'm out.

Hee Haw ..... what a donk.

Maybe he had sold 150% of himself and was trying to bust out.

Steve owes zero pennies. If Steve owes someone money it's on that person more than it is on Steve. If you haven't learned not to lend money in poker rooms. Steve will surely teach you a lesson.

Ok, seems pretty safe to say Steve is no longer in Vegas. Likely whereabouts imo are:LA, SF, ARI, NM. Bounty has gone up to $5.55. Just to be safe shall we send Shawn Jacobs down into the sewers to check for Steve?

I played 1/2 with this dude at PH late in the summer.

He looked cancer ridden and in need of a shower.

He regaled the table with how he applied for the CIA, had to give his wife a million in a divorce, and so on.

I was playing super ****ing nitty and I raised UTG with QQ. Smelly cancer ridden man calls. Flop is 245. I bet 20. he asks how much it is (wtf?) and calls. Turn is a 5. I bet 45 and he raises to 100. I fold face up b/c I am on monkey tilt. He turns over 3 6 and tells me I was lucky to get that turn card. I quit.

I played with a legend and lost.

^^^^^

Cringe, for someone who was seemingly homeless Steve always seemed pretty clean to me.

It's amusing to me how people love to come to this thread and drop the omg this one time at bandcamp Steve got lucky on me stories in this thread. Also looking back on this thread and knowing more about tbc now, associating the two of them is bull****.

He also disappeared every single hand he was not in.

He got it all in one hand 3 ways on the flop, started shouting about how he couldn't win, stood up and put his backpack on.

He turned over a flush on the river. Go figure.

you see homeless dudes all the time that you don't realize are homeless

you are only seeing the stigma of homelessness, instead of the reality

Steve is officially off the grid. Whereabouts unknown. My guess - he's back in Florida living with his ex-stripper girlfriend.

I saw him in April 2012 and told him then he was getting close to the bottom. Of course he didn't agree with me. When I saw him in July 2012 at the WSOP he looked two years older. I last spoke to him in November when he called me looking for some money to go to LA.

Haven't heard a word since.

He's a fascinating person. He's highly intelligent but homeless. He lives "his life" and seems to be happy doing it. The dozen or so times I've seen him over the past few years he always seemed to be upbeat. He's as resilient as a Timex watch.

I guess every one that's posted here about him have their own reasons for being interested in the guy. My bet is that in a twisted way, they have a deep down admiration for a guy that is willing to live "his life" the way he wants to and doesn't conform to society's rules. It's called escapism folks. Same reason you go to movies.

Same basis as reality tv. You watch it because someone else's life appears to be more f..ked up than yours and you find it fascinating.

I say, give the man some credit for living "his life" the way he wants to. He doesn't hurt anyone that I can see. If you give him money don't do it with an expectation of seeing it again. Isn't that what "gambling" is all about? If you expect a return on your investment go buy a CD at your local bank. But that would be too boring wouldn't it?

I'm not advocating Steve's lifestyle but I'm not condemning him either. Give him some credit for living outside the "box" (or in a box) and take him for face value. I don't see any threads started about my or your boring lives do you?
