Just wondering what some of your experiences are? I never ask for it. I just wake up at checkout time, checkout on the TV or my lap top, shower and linger for a while. Sometimes I sleep until noon at places where you don't have to actually do anything to be checked out. I've even pushed it til after 1pm a few times with no problem, depending on my flight or other factors. I'm pretty sure most properties don't care, and if the maid comes knocking, a $20 will easily smooth out the situation.

Top 3 feature of diamond card is getting to check out at 2PM from Caesar's properties. At 7AM the day of checkout when settling into bed after a long session it is the top feature.

But yeah, many places I've been seem to be at least a little bit flexible about the 11am/12pm hard checkout (that is, you can leave like 30-45min after and they don't care).

Didn't realize diamond gets 2pm check out, doh!

I was self checking out via the email they send to get 1pm. That was the latest option to pick. Maybe that option is available for anyone?

yeah, I think you do need to ask them for late checkout. I usually do, anyways. 2pm shouldn't be a problem as diamond, sometimes they will even do later, always depends.

No baller status here but never had problems getting an extra hour or two when asking. Vdara was the only place I've stayed that wanted a fee but then I was asking for a 5pm checkout on that occasion.
Bellagio, MGM, Palazzo, Aria, MGM and Wynn have all give been fine.

Some hotels are squeezing the customer for every last penny they can. Want to check in for 3 pm? Pay us! Want to check out an hour later? Pay us! Those places don't give you a break unless you have card status.

When you check in at TI there is a placard that advertises early check in/late check out for (?) $40 - we've never bothered, shown up at 11a or so and always gotten our room. So that seems a bad value.

I never had a problem staying for an hour or two past checkout. Usually the housekeeping supervisor comes around to start knocking on doors to see what rooms are ready to clean. She knocks and says what sounds like "How 'Skippin" and I just yell out "come back".

If it's a Friday or Saturday morning and the hotel is busy that night they will wanna turn over the rooms quicker so in those cases expect her to call you're room if your still there after about 30 min. Just say "I know, my wife isn't feeling well we'll be out shortly" (even if you don't have a wife).

I've showed up at a time like that and they said Pay Us. I said I don't want to. They said See you at 3 pm.

I've rarely left a hotel in Vegas before 2pm
At Cesar's properties I'll tell them bc I have diamond so nobody knocks on the door
And I don't actually check out eaither I just leave

I've only been charged once for a late check-out and that's when I got hammered and left nyny at like 8pm and they charged me 50 bucks

Who is "they" in this story? I've checked in many times before noon at places like Flamingo, PH, Linq, TI.

Who would it be? The janitor? It's the front desk clerk, obv.

He was asking which street performer. Lol.

He mentioned different casinos following the question, so "they" is referring to the casino, it looks like.

Oh. TI, more than once. A CET place before I was Diamond, can't remember which one. I was refused in Tahoe even after I was Diamond - early check-in is not a guaranteed perq.

As for checking out, I always clarify with the front desk, even if it's a CET place where I'm Diamond. They have my credit card info and it's easy for them to tack on a charge and there's nothing I can do about it after the fact.

I agree, I checked into the TI on the first day of G2E, to have a place to crash during the show as needed.

I walked in at 10:00 am was told, pay or come back at 3. I came back at 11:00 or so and checked in for no fee.

Platinum member, just got back from staying at Bally's. Asked for complimentary late check-out and was given 1pm no problem.

Last time I was at the Mirage on top of great room selection for the the 20 dollars I laid at early check in they waived both my fees for early check in and a requested late check out.

I have never- not once in my life, and there have been dozens of experiences- been denied an early check-in or late checkout just by asking. There have been times the room wasn't ready yet, but still got to it before check-in time. This is not something worth paying for unless you absolutely have to guarantee you'll get it.

My wife takes ages to get ready...I always ask the front desk for late checkout and they are generally cool with a noon checkout (no charge).

in vegas, you dont really have to worry about it. they usually dont charge you or force you to leave til 1pm. just write fast check out or do it with tv.

Plan on staying @ MGM & need a late checkout b/c flight home doesn’t leave until 10 PM (on a Sunday night). I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

When you do the 20 dollar which should be mandatory for anyone that knows about LVL, have them throw in late check out.

You and I live in the same world.

Then again, I'm guessing we're both reasonable people, like asking for a late checkout earlier than 1 minute before regular checkout or asking for a late checkout past the the next day's checkin time.
