I get checking to a tilting guy on the flop, but unless I was very sure he’s betting, I’d probably bet myself.

Definitely raise turn

It was working for a good hour or so. I may need to order another one as I’m currently down $100 after being up $175.

You’re 100% right. In the moment, I didn’t think it through properly. If the button had an overpair, he would have bet the flop. The turn isn’t helping him and with the $60 bet and my call, what would he be representing by going all in? So, I should have eliminated him from my thought process and only been thinking about the villain.

With that in mind, I should have raised big to $240-$260.

Button (tilting recently abd with ~$250 left), raised to $35. SB, Villain and I all call. Flop is 10-9-4. Villain checks and rather than lead out, I check hoping to induce the tilting guy to bet, but it checks through. Turn is a 2 (no flush possibilities and Villain leads for $60. I thought for a few seconds and called, again thinking that the button would do something crazy with his last $200. I also decided against raising bc I thought the best hands the Villain had were QJ, A10 or A9. Button folded and we saw a J on the river. Villain checked, I bet $75 and lost. What did the Villain have?
did he have a set, or KQ

Something that I noticed at some of these nicer rooms (Aria and Wynn) is how the some of regs do a form of hitting and running. They’ll win a big pot or two, then within 1 orbit, they leave. Of course, they can leave whenever they want, but it just feels like a form of bum hunting. And they rarely engage in conversation.

That would have made me feel a bit better, but he had 7-8 suited. It could have been worse as he just called, although I don’t think I’m calling any raise.

He left after 20 minutes without really playing other hands, so I think a decent raise makes him fold.

Ended losing $171 at Wynn/Encore and walked over to FountainBleau.

Mother Wolf menu and 1st dish, the Sfincione, which is Focaccia bread.

The Focaccia bread was pretty good-I’d give it a 7/10 and would consider ordering it again. May ask for some extra olive oil next time.

Next dish was the Ruchetta, which is an arugula salad.

I should also note that the service by my waiter, Gustavo, has been excellent so far. He took the time to answer any questions I had on the menu and has been checking in frequently.

The Ruchetta was good-probably 6/10 for me. I may try another salad next time.

Main pasta dish was Tonnarelli Cacio E Pepe.

Food is helping to drown my sorrows from giving away most of my $1100 winnings from my 1st 2 sessions.

The Tonnarelli Cacio was excellent-always a dish I wanted to try. I would give it a 9/10 and would definitely order again.

Debating whether to go full gluttony and order dessert.

All in all a really nice meal and one that I’ll come back to, especially when my wife is with me. Including tip, it cost me close to $130.

Walked by an empty craps table and decided to try my luck st craps. In for $500, but pic is mid-roll.

I was really hoping to have a chips in the hand pic, with some purple and yellows. But alas, it was not to be and I lost $56.

The casino really is nice inside

Now heading over to Venetian to see if another venue can change my fortunes.

Am at a 1-3 game

Was going mostly well as I was in the game for $400 and was up $350 before losing ~$200 with KK vs QJ. Going to do my best not to tilt and build back up.

Thank you for TR. Not only is it fun to follow along, it's perfect timing for me. I'm finally making my first trip to Vegas (at 40 frickin years old lol) on 5/5, and I'm staying at the Excalibur too.

Your report is also helping me kind of map at where I'll play, as I'll mostly be playing 1-3 or 2-5. Hope you sun run the last couple days!

Playing in flow to the titling 3-bettor is fine, but there's definitely some merit to donking into him on the flop. That's actually a pretty wet flop going 4 ways. There's a TON of straight draws, and if the button has top pair+ he'd probably just shove.

On the turn I'm 100% shoving and charging his draws max. I know it'd be something like 1.5x pot, but stack sizes are awkward. Any standard size raise leaves you with under half-pot OTR, so I'd just rip it.
