Damn strip sucks. Isn’t motorized bike drive by the way things are done in central and South America? I’ve watched Narcs.

yea but these are those scooters you see in the super market for people who are disabled vs. motor bike

they're out of control on the strip. some company is renting it to people and they're driving them all around the strip and thru casinos really fast

there's a funny video of a group of them driving right on las vegas blvd

Yeah, that sounds like too much to handle with a MagLite.

Pretty sure I've seen $109 everywhere except bellagio
I received an email from Wynn this weekend offering $99 weekday rates & $159 Fri/Sat from now until December 29th. Additionally, I'd receive a $250 resort credit for a 5-night stay or a $125 resort credit for a 3-night stay.

I guess they decided not to get rid of the low rates after all.

If there is a mathematical unit of measurement for Las Vegas bad craziness, they would have to use NBA All-Star Games. If a given level of craziness is twice as bad as ASG (if this is possible) then it would be a 2-ASG weekend, or whatever.

Walked the Strip Friday night and it did not feel any more dangerous than usual. The only thing really noticeable IMO was seeing plenty of attractive women (despite the clubs being closed). There were still women offering photos for tips by the Bellagio fountains, those women weren’t wearing much, and they didn’t seem to think they were in danger. And I did some of that walking after midnight.

It must have been worse earlier in the month.

If Limitless was still doing videos he would still find material to work with. Or maybe not because he might have 2 or 3 million subscribers and get recognized too much.

Same here, business as usual on the Strip from what I saw this past weekend.

A lot of cancelled NFR room blocks may need filling, room nights are a vanishing inventory..... sales need to be in advance , can't sell them "later" at a discount

That's targeted marketing though, direct to you as a previous guest and/or Red Card player.

It's the unknown quantity of "1st time guest + buddies" driving in from LA that they are looking to dissuade with higher advertised prices

Recognizing something for what it is, doesn't equal politicizing a topic.

Is every jackpot > $100k news? Because it sure appears in the RJ. Wonder why that is?

Wake me up when we near Detroit numbers of shooting per day... Until that happens I will still consider the strip and Vegas to be safe.

Detroit doesn't need to rely on tourists for it's core economy

No-one in the UK/Europe/Canada/Asia views this level of shootings/fights, general asshattery, and rappers score-settling etc as "normal" or attractive in a holiday destination (that is expensive to fly to), so will stay away.

Then LV hotels have to mainly rely on the domestic market, so will have to reduce prices again, and you end up with the same problem just repeating again and again

I'm from the UK and have visited LV 38 times, averaging 2 weeks per trip. I've contributed $$$$$, maybe $$$$$$ to the LV economy in that time. Even thinking of LV in a year or 2, post-peak-Covid, I'm currently unsure if I want to go back

38 visits? Highly impressive

Personally I will go back as soon as it's, shall we say, medically safe to do so. Not really scared by these random videos surfacing, more scared about how long it will take before Vegas starts looking like itself again (without any Covid-restrictions).

This is the 2nd time in as many days you posted this. Posting in a thread to get a mod's attention is not a good way to do that, since mods don't read every post. Report the post in question, all forum mods will be alerted. If after some time no action is taken then they decided they're ok with it.

Wow that video is a whole lot crazier than the news just made it sound. It wasnt even the main story, they mentioned it for like 15 seconds about 10 minutes into the telecast lol. Just another casino shooting no big deal... All they said was there was a incident at valet and a woman was grazed with a bullet after someone was shooting into the air, which also didnt make sense.

The news isn't going to describe events that scare off tourists, I hear tourists are important to the Vegas economy.

Out of curiosity, who runs things in Paradise? A county supervisors board?

There are lots of these videos popping up but what are the statistics on violence and shootings compared to before 2020? I’ve see plenty of people in the past say the Strip was dangerous. Although it seemed to be from people making assumptions; those people weren’t on the Strip very much.
