The reality is that he is probably doing better than a significant percentage of poker players trying to make it.

He's not doing better than the ones that are ACTUALLY trying. Players like Neeme, Boski, Owen, the entire Haslet House crew are light years ahead of him at poker and in life. Really the only vloggers that may be succeeding less than Trooper are the ones with the very low quality vlogs and low subscriber bases.

I was talking about how he was doing relative to other poker players, not other poker vloggers. If some young poker wannabe didn't last as long as Trooper in Vegas, how ashamed should that player be?

Yeah, sucks when all you have in life is poker and your cat. That's what you meant, right?

What are you even talking about? Trooper went broke in like his first month in Vegas. Then he was waiting tables at a chain restaurant. If someone can't last longer than that they are really pathetic.

Seriously though, compared to anyone that actually puts forth real effort into poker and treats it like a job, Trooper is not successful at all. In fact, I think you'd be hard pressed to find many less successful 40-somethings in any walk of life.

LOLOLOL^^^^^

He literally just tries to stretch out anything he does and makes going to Target like some big important task just in order to make himself think hes "busy."

You do realize that I am making fun of people who think they can be pros and not praising Trooper, right?

Just about anyone could become a pro at the low stakes if they are willing to to put forth the work necessary to improve as a player. It's not rocket science whatsoever. That's why most of us expected Trooper to succeed. He has the natural aptitude to beat 1/2, 1/3, and 2/5. He just never put forth any effort to improve.

I think submitting to coaching would have been too traumatic to Trooper's self-image. A guy like me would love for Ryan Fee to hand me 100 orders to change. To Trooper that would be a declaration of war. For some people criticism is just too threatening.

I have a much lower opinion of the average person than you do, apparently.

Dream Crusher you should post a graph of Troopers results for the last few years. I'm curious what it looks like.

He's up $22,285 since October of 2014. What he's wanting is a visual representation of this which I think would be quite interesting. I'll look into putting something together.

No way, no how, no chance.

You must not understand the definition of "aptitude".

Trooper's "aptitude" is clearly below average.

You haven't been paying attention if you think otherwise.

Fact is Trooper is winning at poker despite putting forth next to no effort.

I think he makes more of an effort than you think and he's just not capable of doing as well as you think he could.

He doesn't put forth anywhere close the amount of effort that is required to be a winning professional poker player. That much is very clear. His average session length is like 4 hrs, ffs.

Trooper's new shirt design is not that bad, still would not wear it though.
For some reason, while watching his latest vlog, I pictured him trying to pitch his business on Shark Tank while swearing profusely and was dying at the thought of it.

Trooper does not even play that many hours, if he played as much as some of the broke classic nit pros in vegas he would be up 80k even with his horrible winrate

His hourly must be similar to slave wages in Dubai. The rake is brutal at 1/3.
