I think this has been a good gig for Trooper. He's making a bit of dough. It would be nice to see it go well for him in the long-term but I expect that the well will run dry and the demand for his Trooper stuff will diminish exceptionally unless something earth shattering happens.
But, I have to give him credit for taking this "Trooperware" thing on. Its seems to be a reasonably successful short term project. Maybe he will come up with something else if and when things slow down.
I think Trooper has proven that he can pivot a little bit here and there to survive. He came to Vegas to play poker. He started off well but when things dipped, he got a waiting job and survived. He got sick of it and quit and then poker went down hill again and he was able to get a connection to get a job as a dealer.
When that went south (he ended up hating that job too), he got lucky with Neeme starting his vlog and giving Trooper a HUGE bump in video revenue. He coasted on that for a while and then poker went very south for him and he tried his Trooperware business.
Even with Trooperware, he had a few ups and downs. His initial shirts weren't that popular and his second wave did better. Then he went crazy with the state shirts which didn't pan out and now he's onto something with his Go Gamble sub-brand.
He's also figured out that while the shirts aren't flying off the racks, his hats are much more popular. I think he's also learned that having dozens or different designs is a waste of time and resources and focusing on a handful of best sellers is the way to go.
I'm sure when he taps out his market of fans, he'll find someone else to go on. While people give him crap for being lazy and not too bright on big life decisions, he's been able to always pivot into something else here and there to survive.
I don't think he'll be on the streets, like many (myself included) have speculated.
