The only thing worse than colluding is blatantly bragging about it on YouTube so everyone knows what going on.
Not in the least, makes zero difference.. You are the one constantly saying trooper sucks, hop in there and take his money detective.

I don't care if this makes me public enemy #1 in this thread because it's bad for the game and the integrity of the WSOP and poker in general. This is why people say "poker is rigged" and are afraid to play in live games at casinos.

The Trooper defenders should really think about what sort of behavior they are defending in this case. He is no longer just affecting himself but the image of the WSOP, poker players in general, and the game of poker as a whole. Stop and think what you are defending when you say Trooper is okay to do this and brag about it on YouTube.

I actually agree with what youre saying. I just think the burden of proof is a hard thing to prove in situations like these. Even if everything points to collusion. You'd need to find specific spots where they are softplaying each other, chipdumping to each other, passing up on +ev spots vs one another, etc etc.

Note: I haven't watched the video.

Straight 50/50 chopping there is straight up colluding already. They have literally no incentive to play against each other and to expect them to do so makes no sense. Even if it was 60/40 they could get the benefit of the doubt but this can't be defended.

Maybe you can refresh us on the Melanie Weisner situation from awhile back? Did anything come of it?

What they're doing is 100% collusion

Heard about it vaguely but no specifics. Don't think anything came of it.

Do you believe a husband and wife playing at the same table is always collusion?

They will generally soft play each other. There are exceptions. But in most cases Yes.
But in the end they are splitting the money so it is collusion.

a husband and wife playing a couple sngs together compared to Trooper actively skipping available seats to play at the table with his 50/50 split partner over many games and have done so in the past for 10's of thousands of dollars.....

Dont play down possible cheating, it makes you look shady too.

How else do you explain a losing player making money at S&G?

How do you explain that Troop only plays S&G when he is the game with his friend?

If you think there's an issue, you should contact the casino, have them investigate (i.e. watch the tape), and get back to you. Just watching a video of a couple guys playing poker together is simply not good enough to make the kinds of accusations that you're making. Be careful, ducks, you are 100% on the verge of slanderous defamation.

I'm with Gobbo and Thousand Tigers.

I was under the impression that they previously were playing at separate tables before today's video. Now it looks like by what he edited in from 2012 that they were always attempting to sit the same tables and split the profits 50/50.

Ehhhhhhhh that's not good.

And yes Nick, if a husband and wife look to always sit the same SNGs and then split all the profits 50/50 that's no good.

Trooper isn't bright enough to collude.

He can't even leave his house before 7pm, or plan out a roadtrip.

Sorry dudes, he's not colluding for $125/pop. He was prob a better player back then and being coached by his friends. Now he can't even beat 1/2NL @ Bally's during the WSOP.

I read all your concerns about me closing the Trooper thread in NVG. I really did want another Trooper thread but it seems this might be aqn iimportant enough issue to lend it some discussion in NVG.

Please just discuss the collusion issue in NVG. This is not going to be another Trooper97 discussion like the one in this thread. I will be deleting off topic and derail posts and banning persistent abusers of this rule.

Good on RR, the discussion belongs in NVG where it can be fleshed out without further mucking up this thread. Las Vegas Poker Player Vlogs

Shadiness, yes. Provable collusion, hard to say.

Defamation by mrducks, also likely. Hey ducks, if you're concerned- talk to jack effel and stop running your mouth on 2+2. Grow up, act like an adult.

Serious question- how can one truly prove poker collusion beyond a shadow of a doubt? Couldn't any soft play just be defended as an honest mistake? Seems almost impossible to truly "prove" unless you're a mind reader, beyond blatantly making signals or passing cards to each other
