No, he's right, you did spoil Boskie's Vlog. I read your comment just before I watched it and I could already tell that he would make the final table and go out before the end.

Since I dont have my head up my ass like nuthugger, I'll take that. Sorry all.
Thought 5 or so hours after would be enough...

I guess we should have a 24hr period before discussing vlog content?

5 hours is enuff time before discussing specifics from a vlog episode, imo

You can discuss it immediately by using a spoiler tag. It's quite annoying when a video comes out and someone immediately posts "Frooper lost again." I now avoid the thread until I watch the latest Trooper vlog.

If spoiling a vlog is ruining your day you need to do better in life and stop letting a small thing on the internet rattle you. I can only imagine ones tilt at the tables

It's just common courtesy no different than spoiling the results of a sports contest or a movie. The vlog isn't going to be as enjoyable if you know the results...particularly a tournament vlog where the entire thing can become quite pointless if you know the result.

If a vlog means as much to you as a multi million dollar film or a sports game... I mean enough said...

The winning streak continues
Eight in a row !

Spoiler:
for the haunted hotel ghost
For the sake of the Trooper Across America vlog, I was hoping against hope that Trooper could somehow keep the heater going and produce something worthy or at least a semi-entertaining vlog road trip.

Now, it's become a survival thing.

Trooper needs to get back to Casa Del Trooper, and the Big Berkey water filter, before he has to sell the car, and buy a Greyhound bus ticket.

Godspeed Trooper, Godspeed !

Who are you to judge what is and what is not important to people?

Hey to each their own. I'm not judging. Sorry if I made you feel judged, sir.

Plikity how long would you suggest spoilers for.
Say a daily vlog, spoilering for 24hrs and we already onto the next vlog?

what would you suggest?

If he busts his bankroll, here is a job Trooper would be qualified to do -- he could be a guy who answers the phone at those gambling addiction hotlines all of the casinos advertise for these days.

He could share his life story to convince people to stop problematic gaming. I'm pretty sure he could "scare straight" a lot of people on the edge.

24 hours is good. Where I work I can read the thread, but watching Vlogs is impractical until I get home in the evening. At least until the next day, use spoiler posts until then.

I guess I just don't judge people as easily as you do. Life experience and fighting a couple wars does that to a person.

Not to be a hater, but ...

You can't blame it all on the haunted hotel (ghost).

How the heck can someone who has a decade plus of experience, lose 8 days of poker, in a row ???

And he fancies himself a way better than average poker player.

You've gotta be playing a lot of raggedy starting hands, and splashing around a whole lot.
Even then, a blind squirrel should find a nut once in a while.

I just don't get it.

I don't think I've had 8 straight losing sessions of poker twice in my life. And I've played a lot of PLO, and it's pretty easy to run bad at PLO.

I can't see how a former poker dealing can lose 8 in a row at 1/2, 1/3.

I was there often in the late 90's and I'd go jogging in the "neighborhood" north of the casinos. I remember getting lots of funny looks but luckily no one messed with me. I told my buddy and some other folks about the nice run I had and they about fell out of there chair when I told them where I ran.

Ignorance is bliss, I had no idea I should run elsewhere.

Sounds like AC has gotten worse since I was there

I actually prefer vlogs to movies because they are way shorter. I cared about the NBA when I was 12, but not so much as an adult. DVR pretty much ruined that game for me and I could care less about the results now. Ditto for the vast majority of other sports (aside from football and MMA). People have different interests and high production value doesn't necessarily make something more entertaining.

Not sure how to say this a nice way, but the vast majority of poker dealers are absolutely terrible at the game of poker.

What about a really special poker dealer who could hold three different conversations at the same time without missing a beat?

I'm not sure if there is a strong correlation between being a good dealer and a good player but certainly some dealers are good players. Did Trooper claim to be able to hold three conversations at the same time? I think we know how good of a player he is...better than most dealers actually.

Yes, that was a quote from him. He claimed to have been told this multiple times. But he is so unaware of everything social though.

Like when he ordered warm milk for that guy "and the whole table laughed" at most it was 2 awkward noises after he told his punch line for the 5th time.

If anyone knows that vlog by any chance, I would love to watch that moment again. Love cringe

Trooper is super streaky. I wonder if after a loss he actually make adjustments to his game that are incorrect. Or perhaps he doesn't make adjustments to his game at all which would be theoretically correct I suppose if he is playing correctly.

When I lose it generally involves me being an aggrotard so after a couple straight losses I make adjustments to play similarly to how most TAG grinders play and that generally ends the losing streak for me. I suppose it may not be that simple for Trooper if he doesn't even grasp some of the fundamental concepts of winning poker.
