yes, i should have clarified, their revenue is up but what they share with creators is down. I've actually had videos demonetized that my viewers went to and saw ads before lol so i don't doubt that YT is making plenty of buckage regardless. Years ago you could play some kind of music briefly or use pictures freely, now they are very quick to demonetize if they recognize any kind of song playing in the background. Many of you are wise to use soundcloud music or to use their free songs that are available. I heard Boski speak of demonetization so i assumed that what those of us are going through on YT also applied to poker. I'm glad it doesn't apply to your channel and that you're doing well. I don't know what they would ever demonetize you for as there is nothing controversial on "what's up guys Doug Polk here?" There is a lot of great material and you're a natural before the camera.

I love the differences between Andrew/Trooper when it comes to glitterbombs...

Troop spent weeks boasting how smart he was and no one would bomb him. Made him look stupid

Andrew got bombed. Laughed. Moved on

I'll believe Trooper is more self aware when I see it but I am cautiously optimistic that he will make changes in his life for the better.

For some reason Trooper believes that the first 3 weeks of December are all slow. Guess he forgot about the rodeo.

I got a shirt from TheTrooper97. I'll give it 2 thumbs up for quality, graphic is sharp, the fabric is soft and comfortable. Can't comment on durability as I've only worn it twice.

I played at the Orleans last 3 days. Saw a guy with a black "Go Gamble" hat. He didn't play a hand and didn't sit at a table. Just walked around with his hands in his pockets and talked to people. Just sayin.

Are you sure his hat didn't say "No Gamble"?

It's sick how long shooting and editing these videos takes. Owen says he spent 700 hours playing poker and 1200 doing the vlogs over the last year.
I don't doubt that AT ALL. It takes an insane amount of time to make vlogs, especially post-production(graphics, voice-overs, effects, etc). Just sitting down and re-watching everything that was filmed before editing can be tedious.

You really have to like the entire process...like REALLY like it. I think that's why some of the vloggers that popped up thinking it was a quick way to make a couple bucks quickly disappeared. The time vs. $$$ return just isn't there if you don't enjoy the editing process.

Myself, I really like the editing. I'll sit in my office for hours just laughing my a** off and having a blast. That's just me though. In talking with Trooper, he likes the editing as well, but he doesn't really enjoy the tedious post-production stuff and he wants quick turnarounds on his material as he releases daily. So he opts not to do a TON of graphical/effects work but his cinematography is really good.

I'm still learning both the editing and the ins-outs of cinematography. It's a work in progress but so far I'm loving the journey

Boski needs to get off the filets and on the steak thread. We can make him a winning player at those steaks in no time flat.

When I hit 10k subs, I'll go to Vegas again. I think right now i'm at around 8.2k. So if everything continues growing...Late January/Early Feb.

Worse come to worse, I'm always out there for the WSOP(June)

I'll take ya up on both the spirits AND the carrot cake(not necessarily in that order)

That was Trooper asking people about where the nearest Starbucks was.

He was that dumb to leave himself open to getting 200K stolen from him by revealing where he kept it? Interesting.

Trooper finally getting honest about his poker playing and how it fits into his life in today's Vlog. Of course, the astute observers have known this for a long time now.

1.) It's hard to believe Bikeking was sleeping in a car with ~$50K in the bank.
2.) It's hard to believe Bikeking was this dumb.
3.) It's hard to believe a bank would authorize a wire just under $10K for 4 or 5 consecutive days.

That's just 3 reasons, there are plenty of other holes in the story.

If this has been posted, sorry, but I don't remember seeing it anywhere.

Johnnie Moreno is a 5/10 player in San Diego that started a vlog. Really enjoying it. Here is a link to his You tube channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-1...SX3rTc2C3gOi8w

Don't forget the "bank statement" he made in Word

It occurs to me that it would have been interesting to start a vlog claiming to be living out of your car while secretly maintaining an apartment.

If I moved out to Vegas, I would consider playing small stakes LHE once a week and pretending that is the only thing I play on a vlog and seeing how long it takes before people figure out I am mostly playing something like 2/5NL.

Troopers latest vlog is horrible.

He reckons he would "murder poker if he took adderall". He says he never wanted to play 5/10 or higher.

Stop with the bs troop, **** he is a fascinating egomaniac

Also was Trooper going to revolutionize poker vlogging at some stage?

+1

His 1st vlog where he folded KK pre in a high stakes LATB game was incredible. He even said he doesn't care if he looked like a fool and was wrong. What a way to start off a vlog series
