Exactly. V raises pre in late position and Trooper 3b’s and then the V in the blind cold calls. This is almost always hands like TT-QQ, AK. Since Trooper has JT that reduces the total combos of TT and JJ from 12 to 6 so when he bets the turn he is mostly trying to get a fold from QQ as KK most likely would have 4b pre. I also don’t like his bet sizing on this super dry board.

This whole 360 video hasn’t really changed the vlog game. It’d be better if he wore a go pro like someone else mentioned earlier.

The "360 vlogs" Trooper produces are not vlogs at all. They are just 30 minute recordings of a poker session. In order to change the vlogging game he would need to incorporate these recordings into actual vlogs. A go pro with a hole card cam might be pretty cool but it wouldn't change anything if he doesn't include the footage in his vlogs.

LIVE Vlogging would be a game changer.

Life is very boring unless edited down, especially Troopers.

It would accent the insanity of his life, which might be worth a laugh or cringe.

Trooper doing live analysis of his poker play would be cringe worthy.

Played Troopers game last night. When I got there only two tables were going and we soon merged to one. 1/3 with a $50 Min buyin is an awful structure. Too many short stacks at second table.

Trooper himself was pretty much the life of the party at his table. He keeps it light and fun.

Overall game was not good but if you are just looking to have fun it’s worth playing.

Trooper can expect a pay cut if the attendance keeps declining.

I doubt they expected many players on Thanksgiving. It will be interesting to see how the game does next week.

The novelty is wearing off fast.

Question: Was Trooper having a winning or losing session???

I've watched about 2 minutes total of 3d poker, and for some reason i haven't really watched any of his normal vlogs since either.

as much as i enjoy a good "poker vlog" every now and then, i have almost zero desire to watch Trooper actually play poker. his vlog was always about seeing Vegas for me... and i suspect that's the same for basically 95% of his audience.

I got there at midnight. Six hours after it started.

It was Thanksgiving night. I doubt anyone expected a full room.

The negative Nancy’s really look for anything to pick on the guy.

Yeah that was pretty much my thinking. I also wouldn't be surprised to see AQ cold calling there sometimes as well.

Yeah, it's a 1/2 game, but I think a player who shows up to play in troopers weekly meet and greet game may be coming from higher stakes as well.
It's not a mistake to cbet a dry flop after 3betting pre. It's a mistake to always cbet a dry flop after 3betting pre. It's a mistake that might not be punished much by certain players, but it is a mistake nonetheless.

Against certain fit-or-fold players, I like checking this flop because if the flop is checked, they lead out with Ax or better on the turn and check/fold anything worse unless they pick up a draw. So, you bluff them off of mostly the same hands they would fold on the turn but never dump money to their good hands.

Is Trooper's opponent in this hand someone who fits this profile? I don't know.

If the MP player had called cbetting would be fine but once we get a cold call it's a different game altogether. Even if villain doesn't have Ax he's probably calling once with his other pairs so we then get into a spot where we're looking at firing more than once and building a big pot with a hand that has very little equity.

It's a terrible min buy-in, but Trooper just wants to get people in seats.

Trooper is in it for the fans.

Eagerly awaiting "How much did he lose" Westgate vlog.

I am setting the O/U at (-$300)

It might not be what's best for the good players, but I could see spreading 1/3 with a $100-$200 buyin as being what would be best for the room if they could get away with it.

It was 1/3? Past vlogs have all been 1/2.

He will lose more in these WG games as he feels he needs to be involved more.... I'd be surprised if he ever made profit on an 8 hour WG session

Plus to be trickier and to dazzle the fans. It's tough to entertain and be profitable. Neeme and Boski have found this out.

It's only tough to entertain and be profitable if you normally play tight.

Trooper forgot to put his results in this latest vlog.
