Are you surprised? He's finally on a roll and doing one thing well in his life and he's about to create loopholes to stop doing without admitting that he's giving up.
Looking at it objectively, I don't mind if he's getting carbs from veggies like broccoli, spinach, and leafy greens especially if it gets him to the gym to do some real workouts...but if he's gonna be downing tons of sugary fruits, it's gonna completely mess up everything he's done so far.
If he opens the door to unlimited veggies and fruits, it's pretty much gonna be him going to the gym a handful of times to justify eating bags and bags of frozen berries when he comes home depressed about losing $1K. And then it'll lead to more loopholes for his "diet".
