I FF thru most of the mail time, so Trooper is laying the groundwork for moving back to DM? Of course not because he is going busto but because its too peaceful where he is and needs to change. lol

There's a brand new Starbucks on Casino Center almost right behind Desert Manor. Can't wait for the first TR. Is the "Exit Strategy" bounce the lease and go back to the monthly or is the lease coming to an end soon?

It would really be a good decision to go back to Dessert Manor because it is a lot cheaper, closer to the Strip (and the downtown located Golden Nugget), and there is really no value for Trooper in living in a high end space when he's not even going to decorate and maintain it well anyway. Plus, Manor would be more entertaining. Walking distance to Starbucks, Container Park, Golden Nugget, Fremont Street Experience, etc.

As far as security, Trooper has no wife and kids to protect but putting them in a safe neighborhood.

Another alternative is the apartment complex behind the Treasure Island and the Mirage. I can't remember the name but it actually has new ownership and is no longer as bad as it used to be.
I might start watching again if he moves back to DM, that was the last time his vlogs were actually decent

Villa de Flores is the name of the apartment complex behind the Mirage and Treasure Island. I hope that he picks that over Dessert Manor if he chooses to not renew his lease at his current apartment.

It is not as bad as it used to be. New ownership. Daily presence of a manager and a janitor. I actually inquired about it for a friend who was going to the WSOP for a month, and the guy that showed me his room was a poker player. He said the place is safe, clean, and cheap.

I doubt he has much money now after listening to that. Maybe he said that because it’s a possibility but not certain to happen soon.

He left Desort Manor very shortly after getting the Patreon account and almost always had less than 5k subscribers when he was there. This time around it will be much easier for him to pay the rent.

He actually does look significantly thinner so the diet is working pretty well for him.

I am sure his hat sales are coming down rapidly from its peak. That combined with less money from his meetup games due to lower attendance and his $1000 punts, I am sure money is starting to become a real issue.

Anybody following #UltimateSweat with Jaime and Matt Staples? I think tomorrow is their official weigh in at RunItUp Reno. Pretty stoked for those guys to win 150K after a year of hard work.

It’d be nice to see them get there.

I have been a huge fan of Trooper ever since I was told about his videos, and have watched every one since then.

I definitely think Trooper is having a bad year and since I haven’t played any sessions with him, can’t really comment whether or not it’s play bad, run bad, or just flat out variance.

Although he’s probably in the hole a few thousand, there’s no doubt Trooper is a winning player. No way he could afford the life he lives if he wasn’t.

However, since everyone seems to be such a Trooper hater, and think he’s getting crushed so bad by Vegas, I’m going to spend some time going through his results (minus hours etc obviously) to prove he’s a winning local reg at his stakes.

Make sure you include his results before was chased out of Florida.

I am super curious to see if Trooper ends up moving ... if he does, it almost certainly will have to do with the cost of the apartment relative to his income.

Having a comfortable place to live is fine, he gets out of the house and to the strip most days. I think all of these 4 digit poker losses are adding up and Trooper has painted himself into a corner. Him not leaving the house today has less to do with laziness, and more to do with him not wanting to punt off another 300-600BBs

I’d be more interested in his results from just this year, and results since he came back from Trooper across America (he hasn’t played a single session of 2-5 since then).

There is already another poster (nicname) who has calculated his results as of about 6 months ago, you should be able to find those posts itt and then start from where he left off, that should save you a lot of time.

there's really no reason for him to be spending 1300-1400 per month on rent considering he never uses the gym, never uses the swimming pool, he never has guests over and he lives in Vegas where you can find a decent safe place for under 1k. He was getting made fun of a lot for living in DM so I think he wanted to prove the "haters" wrong and got a place out of his price range.

So the “results” are based on what he says in the vlog? That should be accurate. :roll eyes:

I don’t hate Trooper, I just see a guy who thinks he’s better than he is at life and just can’t seem to get his **** together.

Troop is funny. As was mentioned, his place being peaceful hasn't kept him from making it to the strip most days. What happened to his big losses being "no big deal"? Congrats to him on his continued weight loss though.

Did he break up with Kelly? Someone in this thread wrote a confusingly worded post that made it sound like she was dating Clubs, based on her Instagram.

Maybe he's been letting his apartment get messier because he's more depressed than ever?

Are Trooper and Boski close enough friends to tease each other? It seems like Boski is an accomplished tournament winner trolling a 1-2 reg. And there's no positive stuff to balance it out. Would you be okay with Boski making fun of Bikeking?

I like Boski's hat jokes and it would be much more fun if Trooper pranked him back but I can see how Trooper would be offended.

He should apply now to deal the WSOP at the Rio. People will be stopping by his table giving him tips and gift cards every ten minutes.
