Agree. But I've heard it's in YouTube's Terms of Service that YouTubers aren't supposed to disclose how much they're paid.

I know personally two YouTubers with their Gold plaque from YouTube (1MM+ subscribers) and they've expressed having to change their model in order to sustain their current quality of living. Now scale that 1million subscribers at maybe 15-30million views a month down to a 20-30k subscriber level with not even a tenth of the views. It's hard for the little guys to cash out. The only person that I know personally who is a content creator with about 140-150k subscribers is netting around $1600/month on YouTube which she uses to pump back into Facebook/Instagram ads to fund her beauty supply business which is her real money maker. She was able to scale that into spending $3k a month on ads and netting about 7-8k a month profit which is pretty damn good. She gave up on her dream of opening her own shop because she's netting more off of a combination of YouTube being the advertising force for her supply business on the backend.

Andrew Neeme should be getting his Silver Plaque from YouTube soon once he hits the 100k subscribers mark. He's doing this YouTube thing correctly.

Do the payments factor in views per video instead of total views?

Ie, would someone like the trooper, who uploads 6 videos a week at 10,000 views per video = 60,000 views per week make more, less, or the same as someone who uploads one video per week but averages 60,000 views on that video?

In general, total views will matter more than total number of videos or views per view, as each view will represent one opportunity to view an ad.

So someone with one video with 60,000 views will receive about as much as someone with six videos each having 10,000 views, everything else being equal.

Thanks. I would have figured that average view per video was more important, since the assumption would be reasonable that someone with more videos but lower views has a higher repeat viewer base and fewer unique viewers, and thus an advertiser is not advertising to 60,000 people, but closer to 10,000 people 6 times in a row.

Jaman's Vegas vlogs are even better than his St. Louis Vlogs.

Not sure why, but they are..

I finally checked out Johnnie Vibes, Matt Vaughn, and Jaman this week. I liked and subscribed to all three but I liked JV and MV more than Jaman. Its not a critique whatsoever but I like to get my YouTube fix in while driving and listen through bluetooth on my car speakers. Most of the action in the Jaman vlogs is presented visually on screen unlike most other vloggers who talk through the hands out loud so unfortunately I couldn't follow. Still solid tho. The bar for poker vlogging has been raised tremendously over the last year.

I played in a tournament. Made a video about it. I guess it was pretty polarizing.

That was a HORRIBLE video. I did enjoy seeing some aspects of the car and while I'm not into expensive cars, there are some cool features with this one. To be honest, I wish he explained more stuff about the car (and I'm not a car guy.)

The editing of the video was HORRIBLE. It really looked like he didn't care much, except for selecting music. I don't mind his douchy-ness of getting those bricks of $1 and $5 bills but he could have made a cooler or funnier video than what he produced.

I personally can't see the logic of spending so much on a car but I definitely like the idea of a 72 hour test drive. I also like that he potentially has enough money from poker and stuff to get such a luxury toy. It just goes to show you that some people actually make money playing poker.

You make about $1.9 per 1000 views for a poker video. This already takes into Youtubes cut. When I'm actively posting I make about 6k a month from the channel. When I'm not I make 4k. I haven't checked views in awhile but last I checked no one else in poker was very close to those numbers.

Once you include all the expenses associated with a channel, you are not making money on the channel unless you are either being paid sponsorship money or are promoting your own businesses.

Jeff Boski. What a legend! The only thing that vlog was missing was some bling and a gold grill.

That Tesla is sweet, but just like my phone, I know it would lead to me being late to stuff 2-3 times a week for forgetting to charge it.

Maybe troop can get a 72hr demo on a boosted board if he plays his cards right.

Ok, maybe playing cards right wasn't the best analogy.

Thanks for the info, Doug!

That means Trooper is making about $638 per month and Neeme is around $1,300 a month. More than I would have expected!
