Consumer advocates like Ralph Nader, management experts like Tom Peters, movie critics like the late Siskel and Eibert, have had great careers being critics. Trooper should study these people and more, and really set a goal to get really good at it. Then find subjects (food, coffee, how things are being run, etc.) to focus his whining/criticizing on.
That's OMC territory. Trooper already does critique the food he eats. The problem with Trooper being a critic is no one wants to listen to a critic with no power or authority. The only thing he could authoritatively critique is Vegas poker rooms. But it would be great if he traveled to different poker rooms around the U.S. and the world critiquing a set list of variables. The Vegas guru Wizard of Odds has done that a few times with casinos in his blog.
Everyone loves and hates different things about Trooper. I hate it when he offends people, complains about stupid things, or spends too long complaining, but a short honest review is okay.
I think his strengths are:
1. Vegas scenes/photography/editing/music skills
2. BSing like he is talking to a friend (creating a ten-minute vlog about nothing, à la Seinfeld)
3. Sharing his honest wins and losses, struggles, thoughts and feelings as if you are watching a private video journal
