TBC doesn’t have a job either and is doing what he wants to do.
I think Trooper's struggles are much greater than the amount of money he makes and I don't think making much more money would have as great of an impact as you think it would. He'd have a boosted board. That's about it.

In some ways he was better than I expected. In other ways he was worse. That being said, it's really hard to judge based on this game because he's not used to playing in games this big (was scared money in spots) and also because I do think he put his best foot forward in this stream and I doubt he always does.
He did live up to my opinion that he is a breakeven-ish 1/2 player that wouldn't be good enough to beat 2/5+ over any decent sample size. Whether you think that makes him good, bad, or ok is just a matter of perspective.
