Even the Vloggers who get a high view count get sick of making Vlogs.

Trooper is the rare Vlogaholic exception.

Trooper stated in his latest video that the Vlog rules his life from the moment he wakes up till the end of his day.

The Vlog has ruined Trooper's life, but that's a story for another day.

Um, based on watching a couple of his earlier vids long ago he was just as lazy and didn't really have any life that he could ruin to start with before the vlog. So in a way the vlog has improved his life. Now at least he has something to do for a couple of hours a day and gets a modest income in return

It's that the actual act of vlogging is time consuming and also distracting. He uses all his break time doing spots for the vlog, he has to remember chip stack shots, bag n tag shots etc etc. was that shot blurry? Is the tournament director giving me a funky eye about my snapping shots? These are all thoughts that he has to deal with when vlogging and I agree that in a tournament that is too much extra to have to deal with when making the money is the prime objective.
All I can say to this is - those who justify don't convince.

Quite often in his vlogs Boski would talk about recognizing people who play these events regularly, so for sure they also knew him and likely watched the vlog. Keep in mind he also wore branded clothing over the last few months, so that could clue in a non-viewer who in turn could google him and then bingo, his cover is blown. And of course rec players love nothing more than to bust the "celeb."

If Trooper wasn't selling so many hats and shirts, getting patreon donations, and Starbucks giftcards from his vlog, I doubt he would continue. Unlike the others, his Vlog is his main source of income..

Andrew went from 0 to 60k subs in his first 7 months. Coming up on a year vlogging and he's just a little over 70k.

Well, the poker player vlogs are small niches, for sure. A while ago I watched some vlog of a stewardess which was the most boring *** I watched in a long time, but she has like 100k subscribers...

What I'm saying is this - when Jeff was winning, he was churning out a regular vlog, then his rate tanked and poof, his vlogging went bye bye. Did I ever say I had a window into his mind? No, but I'm offering skepticism and doubt, which last I heard are still accepted currency ITT.

Many of Neeme's vlogs get 100k or more views.

It just doesn't make sense while you would disregard that it's time consuming and distracting and conclude he only doesn't do it because you think he was losing while doing it (his Hendon mob would disagree).

Idk maybe it's because you don't know how much time and energy shooting and editing actually takes away from him so you discount it as a valid reason altogether, perhaps.

From a quick google search, it looks like it takes about 1 hour to edit a daily vlog (less video recorded to sift through etc)
So Trooper with 3-4 years of vlogging/editing experience should have it down to about an hour.

What in the **** does trooper actually do with his time?

It appears he plays poker for about 6hrs MAX a day.

4 hours of editing
2 hours watching YouTube videos
6 hours playing poker
8 hours sleeping
4 hours eating, delivering hats, and getting Starbucks

My Google search suggests 4-5 hours of editing for a ten-minute vlog is reasonable.

To save time, I think a Vegas-based poker vlogger should take a day to go around Vegas and capture a lot of B-roll footage that can be inserted into future vlogs. Your establishing shots don't have to be recorded on the same day as the meat of your vlog.

This is for say a weekly vlog or longer periods between vlogs. More footage to go through etc.

But a daily vlog like troopers after doing it for years, there is no excuse for taking hours to edit his vlog. Apart from laziness

Troopers typical vlog is coffee, talking about editing, standard vegas shots, coffee, losing at poker and moaning.

I just had a quick look at the last month vids of Caseys. Germany, indonesia, helicopter rides, Vegas bachelor party, scooter rides, mexican boarder, housten and first class travel.
and he has made about 12 or so vlogs in that time.

Do you think his vlogs would take a little longer to edit? Or are they up there with Troops vlogs? Idiot

Except if you put an outdated shot of the Bellagio Conservatory it might be obviously old footage. How often do they change that, anyway? Monthly?

Poker vloggers who post less often than Trooper like Andrew or Brad are still only vlogging one session/day per video. And they show footage from a fewer locations than Trooper in a typical vlog. They use more graphics, which I imagine are time consuming. But despite the fact that Trooper's videos are extremely repetitive, each individual video is made up of quite a lot of different shots.

Vlogging is a business where only the top few percent of people make the majority of the money. Most successful poker players will have too high of an opportunity cost to keep vlogging long term because it is such a niche field.

What separates Trooper is that his opportunity cost is so low that vlogging actually makes sense for him. He's not giving up a decent paying job or a decent winrate to vlog. So even if he makes $1,000 to $2,000 a month vlogging, that is enough for him to get by.

With his hats, he actually makes $1,000+ from his different mini businesses and is content running around town delivering hats and editing a vlog about his deliveries if it puts a decent roof over his head, gases his car, and pays his utilities.

That's why I think he will be vlogging for a long, long time. He's got nothing better going for him and frankly nothing else to do day in and day out.
