Pretty good breakdown. I feel like Brad is definitely in the toughest spot here. His vlog is the Sam's Choice Cola to Neeme's Coca Cola. Both are clean cut, solid 5/10 pros with no significant life drama who provide decent hand histories. Neeme just does it with a more engaging camera presence and better editing. Trooper on the other hand is none of those things, but he is the only one of the three with any real dramatic tension in his vlog.

You don't think he's already reached that point?

I would start watching more if he blows up big or somehow hits a big score like a bbj and starts gambling huge.
Or if he starts having meltdowns again.

But right now- nothing big happening, no meltdowns, there's just really no reason to watch. I might catch about one vlog a week now.

I actually think "Go Gamble" is a really cool concept. I mean I would not be surprised if a lot of people bought the hats.

So Trooper plays at the Bellagio and no mention of the Neeme/Game that ran at the same time? Or did Trooper realize what was going to happen and bailed before they got there?

It's not something I would ever wear/buy but I think trooper could do reasonably well if he devoted more time to Go Gamble.

He needs to ditch the whole Trooperware concept and just go with a Go Gamble brand. Unfortunately he's probably too egotistical to do that.

Trooper is the lifeblood of this thread. love or (mostly) hate, deal with it.
Almost all of the comments about Trooper are every bit as redundant as those.

And it's not like the Andrew or Brad give nothing to critique or comment on. I think Brad's vlog might be the best out there in terms of pure poker content. But his try at designing shirts in his last episode was pretty weak. If Trooper was promoting those shirts, he'd immediately have twenty messages flaming them in this thread.

I thought there would be an entire page devoted to Trooper calling a turn raise with 44 on a T557 board just so he could massively overshove a 4 river but that hand history didn't even garner a mention.

If Trooper announced on Twitter where he was playing, what percentage of players who showed up because of that tweet just to play with him would he be better than?

Why would someone much better than Trooper seek out a game with him? He certainly isn't a great player, but it's not like he's significanly worse than the average 1/2 player, and a much better player probably doesn't want to play 1/2 or 1/3 anyway.

His biggest issue with that phrase is that he can't brand it properly. You need an image and a story behind a brand and his image and story are definitely not marketable. Plus, even if he did focus on that, he has no idea how to build a brand or what the next step would be.

If you've ever seen Shark Tank, he's the guy who comes in with an idea and no clue how to build it into a company and asks for a $1 million+ valuation based on $2000 in sales because "it's gonna be huge!"

Look at his track record. He started the poker vlogging game and sat on his butt for years till someone (Neeme) showed him how to do it better. And instead of competing with the new player in the game, he stuck to his old ways and fell far behind and actually stopped growing his sub count.

Didn't see the vlog but I assume #2 for sure. He is so scared of facing the truth that he has run from anything related to the other vloggers like the plague ever since he screwed over PokerKraut and seen the consequences.

He's 100% alone on his island now and wants no one inside of his bubble life. As he gets older, he's getting more and more stuck in his solitude lifestyle and the more difficult it is to get him out of his paranoid shell.

Trooper is the most "reality TV" of the three for sure. Vlogging is just a type of reality TV so that is why he is the most suited for a daily vlog. If he stops doing stupid things and stops blowing up on camera, his reality star will fade quite quickly.

I wonder if he every goes back and watches some of his older vlogs to see whether he has grown at all as a person or anything. I would love to have a video record of myself 1 year ago, 2 years ago, 5 years ago. It would be very helpful to look back at myself like that. I hope Trooper gets some value from this.

No one is gonna notice Trooper selling 2 hats in the lobby. If he starts to pick up the volume to something like 20+ hats a day in a single property, then someone might notice and give a crap enough to stop him. He just needs to stay small enough to stay under the radar.

Someone much better than Trooper might seek out a game with him if they knew it was going to be filled with Trooper fans who are significantly worse than Trooper at poker.

I am better than Trooper and might seek him out just so I can troll him live.

I saw Trooper playing at Aria tonight.

Edit: Did he leave already? He looked miserable when I saw him IMO but I only saw him for a couple of seconds.

Didn't even remember it. I'm at the point where when his vlogs are playing I am doing two other things and not really paying attention.

Actually due to the relatively high rake (compared to the stakes) at 1/2, 1/3, he has to be somewhere in the top 20% with respect to skill, if he is a small winner longterm. Although even longterm results might be off due to jackpot luck and things like that.
That's not to say that this is much of an achievement, just sayin'.
