I just noticed there is a street named "Trooper Street" in Las Vegas.
Its not like "Dean Martin Drive" but its a start.

Is it the street where Trooper saw the homeless man's sack hanging out?

uhhg, I know what you mean. The other day I made the mistake of acknowledging a question (I had headphones in and could of pretended not to hear him, but I am too nice of a guy I guess) from an 80 year old guy next to me which turned into a 45 minute one sided discussion about his complete medical history and how every single person in his family died.

I'm hoping to make more trips to other NorCal rooms to keep it fresh. I've played all over but haven't been able to travel much lately since the birth of my son.

I'm open to constructive criticism and know I have a lot to improve. Originally I wanted to wait until I had a really polished product but I figured this is a learning process and if I didn't just jump into it then I might never get things done. I've been told to include board graphics as well as bet sizing so that should hopefully make it into the next episode.

Thanks again and please let me know if this should be posted elsewhere since it's not technically a Las Vegas Vlog...although I did live there for a number of years and still have a place there. Cheers!!

Sorry man I want to watch. I am are overwhelmed with poker vlogs. I haven't finished Little Andrew's blog. You seem to have PLO niche right?

Not bad, however I skipped over the last 10 minutes of the video of you talking about the hands that weren't caught on camera while sitting on your couch. I love watching hands play out in front of the camera with the player narrating, but I can't stand hearing people talk about hands without seeing the action. It is like 10 minutes of somebody telling you their bad beat or sick brag stories.

Good start, but I only really care about the hands that are videotaped. Other people may be different, but that is my personal preference.

Ya I totally understand that! I agree that the ending wasn't what I intended but without it and without footage there wasn't a real close to the session. I'll be sure going forward to get the major hands recorded and keep any significant FaceTime storytelling to a minimum. Thanks for the suggestions!

As for my niche being PLO that may be mostly true. The regular game here is a 3/5, the big game is a 5/10 but it often plays as 5/10/20. Recently that game and its player pool has moved to playing 5/5/10 PLO. I hope to travel around to a few other rooms but I'd gusss a majority of videos will be 5/10/20 NL or 5/5/10 PLO with the occasional 3/5 when bigger games aren't running.

2. pan around to living room with no furniture and stuff laying all over the floor

Now I do realize he puts in a lot of time to his vlog editing and such. And I did enjoy the scenes from Vegas and inside the casino. That being said, I really could do without him yelling at people from inside his car, talking under his breath at how stupid people are as they walk by like he is something special. Maybe he does this in an effort to try to be funny. It's not funny. It's awkward, negative, and quite frankly, cringeworthy. I personally receive nothing of value by watching his videos, so I stopped watching them.

I recently ran across a fairly new poker vlog by Andrew Neeme. His videography is at least on par, if not better already than The Trooper, and his vlogs contain much more insight. For instance he goes over his thought process in his hands he chooses to show and his q & a 's seem to be better thought out.

Just my two cents.
I have to respectfully disagree. Trooper has a niche audience.

I view Trooper as the Kenny Powers of poker

Same here, first part was enjoyable but as soon as you started talking about hands I lost interest. Nothing against you personally, my best friend could be sitting there explaining them and I'd still be bored.

Other things:

- Fast forward a little more when folding, there was one point where you folded like 10 hands in a row and it was too much downtime.

- Talk to the camera in between hands sometimes. Even if it's just you getting a sandwich or walking to the bathroom. This achieves 2 things: you get people to know you as a person better, and it breaks up the monotony (sp?) of the video. Right now it's looking too much like a strategy video.

Just my opinion, others might disagree.

its not that he cant afford a couch or bed, its that he doesn't need one to be happy. if trooper wanted to, he could grind live poker 55 hours a week and lease a $1000/month bmw. but that wouldn't make him happy, so he doesn't do it.

I agree with you about the rants and the yelling. pretty sure he just does it for the camera.

This is clear evidence that he tilts. If you're thinking about slowrolling a guy after he slowrolled you then the slowroll obviously got under your skin. He shouldn't let his opponent distract him that easily.
Slowrolling someone who already slowrolled you is fun. Doesn't require tilt.

True Dat.

One time I had KK and on J high rainbow flop we got it all in and he quickly turned up JJ and said NUTS, I never turn my hand up until the end and hit a K on the turn and took great pleasure in delaying showdown and acting like I was about to fold.

I enjoy all the vloggers coming out with their own take. You can do what you want and fix what you want. The real poker fans will follow. The problem in here is most of them are just trooper fans or haters.

I've learned a lot of these guys don't exactly even play poker daily. They just come in here to discuss trooper.

You're kidding me, right? Why would tell someone that took time out to post their vlog in here that?

You can post about the troopers life every 30 mins but you can't watch a vlog. This thread is tilting.

Wut? Playing poker daily is a requirement for posting on 2 + 2?

I play live once or twice a week and don't even live in Vegas. Sorry if this a problem for you, but I have a real job.

My point was most of these guys don't even play poker much, so this thread is a drama show. To most people in here Trooper>Poker

Honestly, Andrew's success and Doug Polk snitching is what is causing this. All these other vloggers with a couple of hundreds views didn't cause the issue. Plus,Jake Cody being a pokerstars guy might have caught the eye of known poker pros, and they had an issue with the camera filming stuff.

I don't get why any poker pro would be upset. The poker community will get bigger because of it.

It looks like this isn't going to end well. Stubbornness, ignorance, and stupidity by the Poker Room Managers is going to bring the end to this. And I totally see Trooper's point, his videos do bring people into the Poker Rooms.
