I'd say you're wrong on that. Every poker video so far has over 7k views. That means there are a lot of people watching who haven't subbed yet. 3k subs in 30 days means he's averaging 100 per day. You aren't going to suddenly have that drop by 70%. It's called exponential growth.
Andrew believes much of that growth came from viewers of other major vegas poker vloggers..ie Andrew's videos were recommended to them. If that is the case then his growth with slow.
The best OG videos were when he was about to move and trying to build a roll IMO. I really hope Fredex and COTC capture the struggle and the work that goes into building the roll and the move and all that. I have liked all the videos that everyone has done, even COTC if he just keeps it more about him and not about OG then he would be on to something.
I will be doing one of these soon, prolly just a blog and not a vlog because im not as electronic savvy as you guys. Quitting my job and taking my chance hopefully at the start of December.
I can't do a vlog too much work and it doesn't excite me much, would rather do a blog but I know writing is not a strong point of mine. So far 104 hours at mostly 1/2 and 2 2/5 session's up almost $3,800. Had a 1200 win at 1st 2/5 session lost 476 the second. Games not as good as I would have expected at 1/2 but still beatable, obv small sample size and I been doing the morning grind so mostly playing vs omc.
I like how Kevin keeps it interesting and does things that are fun rather than just the same thing over and over. This was great just get drunk and play porker down the strip.

Kevin's vlogs are getting a lot better. I find myself cracking up hard at a lot of the little things he says. "Off to Planet Hollywood, down $85, but who TF Cares?" and the bit with the Lyft vs. "Titties" cards had me dying. All of the new Vloggers seem so much more carefree and fun in comparison to the vlogs from he who must not be mentioned. It's very uplifting to see when the majority of games in this town have the general mood of a funeral.
lol threads radioactive status has reached mods forum wide. there is a certain charm to that
Honestly the original could have stayed, there were just 5 or 6 people that needed to be banned for flying off the hinges with pure white hot rage against Trooper.
Fantastic video Tappan! Very nice to get a peek at your life off the poker tables, and a little insight into what originally brought you to Vegas.
I'm not sure if you mentioned it in the video, but how many years since the relocation to Vegas?
My own professional background is also in web-dev & marketing, although most of my career I've been fortunate enough to have my own self-employed ventures around this. A few stints working for some companies in the field over the years, but my own ultimate happiness in career lies in having a small, sustainable venture I can do on my own.
For the last 7 years or so I've been on the verge of the same Vegas relocation, but can't quite pull the trigger on making the move. For me it's not just poker, but it's lifestyle/weather as well that's a big draw to making that move.
As I write this on a dreary, overcast, rainy, 49 degree day in Pennsylvania... sigh.
One request... toss in some more Vegas local footage, like how you had Makers & Finders in a few of your early vids. Nice to see the strip and massive casino properties, but also kind of nice to see some Vegas local stuff
tapp i appreciate the response. wasn't trying to be nosey. was just curious. my pops does web design and has been lead animator on some really cool ****. check out the movie scanner darkly or a new series on adult swim called dream corp. here's a trailer.
Andrew and Tappan thanks for the reply. I play live cash games once or twice per week currently. Primarily 1/3 or 2/5 whatever is running. So my initial goal is to build up a 10 buy-in bankroll at 1/3 that would be 3k & at 2/5 that would be 5k. At that level I am comfortable firing 2 bullets per session if need be. Ultimately I would prefer to have a 30 buy-in roll so 1/3 is 9k & 2/5 15k which would allow me to be comfortable firing 3 bullets per session. While also minimizing my risk of ruin. At this point I would like to play part time and work part time.
Andrew and/or Tappan I would be interested on your thoughts on my thought process as well as your own bankroll thoughts/strategies. Thanks
