I have not seen evidence that leads me to believe that Drew is Trooper's daughter. For that reason I'll go with 15% chance he's a deadbeat dad.

Trooper should go on Maury Povich to promote Trooperware and take a DNA test..

Are you guys sure that poker is fun to him? Are you guys sure that he is enjoying life? He seems frustrated so often with poker. I thought he looked like he was in a better mood when he had a job and was winning

Trooper's results have been verified on enough occasions that everyone just gives him the benefit of doubt these days. Plus he posts plenty of losing sessions so what's there to hide?

I hate it that I bother with this because Troop is just a poker room friend, but, though many of you make valid non-troll criticisms of him, two dumb ones keep arising: that he's lying about results and that he plays like a nit.

If you were going to lie about your results, are his the ones you'd come up with? Really? And in a town where you're a Z-list celeb, playing with people who get an erection at the idea of posting here, "Troop yesterday said he won $112 but I was there and know it was only $109?"

And do nits lose dimes in 1/2, or CR bluff shove on rivers? Jeez, he should nit it up. All good grinders need a strong nit game because generally 1/2 is optimally beat by the exciting strategy known as 1) wait for the best hand, 2) bet it, 3) otherwise STFU and fold again.

Tim leaves himself open for some valid attacks here. Pass on these two invalid ones, please.

Only one person called him a nit. He was at his table, Trooper blew 1k to prove him wrong.

Everyone is stating he doesn't lie about his results and he would be a fool to do so.

Not sure what you're going on about.

12K is not a lot when you are entering tournaments almost every day and rebuying. It can disappear really quick. But hey, at least now you don't have to pay taxes on it :/

I haven't seen either of those criticisms here. Maybe you are confusing this place with Youtube. Since Trooper only responds on Youtube and not here, he is probably the one responsible for perpetuating those claims.

I think that a lot of people watching Trooper could predict that he would respond negatively to what Pokerkraut is doing. I would guess PK knows Trooper well enough to know he would respond poorly. So, either Kraut is actually ignorant of how Trooper would feel or he is acting in a way that he knows will provoke a response from Trooper. If the latter, he either wants to provoke Trooper or he just doesn't care about Trooper's feelings and is going with what he thinks is funny.

This. See it all the time - nitty players going on monkey tilt and polishing off three buy-ins. Then I'll see them the next day back to nitting it up.

I don't think he lies in the sense of saying something untrue with the intention of deceiving the listener.

I believe he is disingenuous but truly believes his rational and excuses for not following through on something or completing a commitment are valid.

The later leads the listener to feeling deceived and mislead - but that wasn't Troopers intention. He fully meant to follow through with the weight loss challenge and felt his excuses for not showing up to the conclusion or acknowledging the loss beyond acting like he never tried is OK and acceptable. If you don't approve, he "doesn't give a ****." Will this lead to better things or greater success in any part of his life? Absolutely not but like he told me directly yesterday (very respectfully though) see above: I don't give a ****.

We can want better or different for Trooper all we want but we need to also listen to what he's telling us: for better or for worse he's going to do things exactly how he wants to - with all the faults and mistakes that come with it. It may not be the most successful way and there may be many other better ways; he doesn't give a ****. He's going to do it exactly how he wants to do it and that's all there is to it.

Those of us who do want to see him do different/better we should keep encouraging him to do so, however in my opinion. Because if you put ideas in his eyesight enough he may co-op them and start doing them Las Vegas Poker Player Vlogs

I have a feeling Boski is going to be just fine by the main event. Amusing how people live and die on each result in the comments tho

I'm surprised with the Boski dislike from some. I get that he's got some YT haters because he's taken some shots at Trooper in the comments there. I genuinely like his vlogs. Yes, he's a lagtard, variance for him will always be high. He's proven he's a winning player for over a decade though. Keep the chip porn shots coming Boski!

He's also got a pretty good sense of humour, as he's put the punter pic up a few times when barreling off his stack in some overly ambitious spots.

Troop had a surge in views during TAA because it was something new. I think he'd see another big surge if he started discussing hands, taking criticism, applying it to his game, and then discussing again to see what he learned.

For instance his first vlog would have some disaster where he 4bets AQo and then jams a KQT flop and loses to a set. He'd talk about why he did what he did, get roasted, then the next vlog he'd apply that knowledge and try to get actual value out of a hand instead of bluff with it and have this epiphany about how to beat low stakes. Even if he continued to play like a dumbass maybe we could at least see him run it up. I mean watching fish go on heaters is still amusing. If I could tape myself running 1k up to 20k at PLO without any idea what I was doing I would just for the lulz.

I do not think you know what "disingenuous" means.

It would be easy to psycho-analyze Trooper and see him using so many defense mechanisms, such as denial. If I were his friend and wanted him to change, I would engage in some Inception-style manipulation, trying to plant ideas in his head in a way that allows him to think that he came up with it.

Trooper would get more subs and views if he acknowledged the WSOP was going on and actually graced it with his presence. He could also set up something where his fans can back him in a tournament. No doubt he would get put into it and his fans would love it as they'd have a piece of his action. He should really try to make his vlog a little more interactive.
