There is like 18" of clearance under that bed frame for optimal dead hooker corpse storage also.

Who here remembers back in the day when MGM poker room was luxe?

They had those sweet marble tables next to Centrifuge, and always had 2/5, 5/5, and even some 5/10 games every once in a while. Biggest hassle was that two mile walk from the parking garage to the casino. But valeting at Trop and taking the bridge over was the move. Good times.

Why? How was that a better "move" than just valeting at MGM itself?

I just sucked it up and parked at MGM. Valet was probably "the move" though

Several reasons DC2LV:

1. You didn't have to walk through the entire MGM casino to get to the poker room. Walking over the bridge on Trop and down the escalator by the old Rainforest cafe and you were right there at the poker room entrance.

2. If you've ever valeted at MGM you know their entrance area is a complete and utter logistical **** show. Finishing a session at 1am on a Fri/Sat and then trying to get your car was a 45 minute proposition. Plus on fight nights and holiday weekend nights when the games were best, you could only valet if you were a hotel guest. Tropicana wasn't busy enough to turn people away.

3. My car usually always smells like weed so I always feel bad blasting away the poor fella that's gotta do it.

This still doesn't make sense to me. How is walking from across the street better/shorter/whatever than simply valet parking at the MGM and walking through the casino?

Now this does make sense and I agree with you that in these circumstances, parking at Trop would be the better choice. Since I usually played poker during the day, I wasn't impacted by the crush of cars and people arriving and exiting at night.

In addition he's guaranteed minimum $300 from MGM for the freeroll promo.

Total profit = $4052

This is quite impressive overall. He completed the hours challenge, posted a vlog everyday, played in the freeroll, and profited big.

By gaining a routine and minimizing decisions (MGM everyday, pretzel hot dog everyday) he streamlined his work life and could focus more mental energy on poker.

A couple more of these runs and he may be able to move up stakes, maybe even purchase an actual bed.

Well done Tim!
So, let's add in the additional $735 for the tournament cash.

Total profit for Troop's 100 hour challenge =

+$4787

I wonder what Tim's stance on promotions is now.

Basically netted him an extra $1035 in the end (rakeback).

Nevertheless, solid two weeks for him. Prob the best two weeks since he moved to Vegas.

Interested to see where this goes from here...

lol, did Trooper just compare himself to....

Spoiler:
Trooper compared himself to Stu Unger. He said Stu winning the Main Event strung out on coke was like him getting up early and being tired for the free roll tourney

I'm happy for TheTrooper and that he won a nice sum over the last two weeks but he still needs to work hard if he wants to be successful. Grinding for two weeks isn't anything to be overly proud of and I think the fella will slip back into his lazy poker habits in a week or two now that he is overconfident again.

Finally, Trooper was 100% honest about his approach to winning poker. I really want to see him win, and continue with this new attitude of"learning" and putting in the "work" He did admit he use to think you can just sit at the table and win. Now he learned you have to put in the work. Him putting in the hours improved his outlook. That is + EV.
