When Trooper was a winning player (2014, a few months after arriving in Vegas):

I had played blackjack there probably 30-40 times for 1-2 hours each time without issue. Every time I also played poker.

So one night I'm there during a snowstorm. It's the only time I've ever seen plo not running there. A lot of times high limit was pretty full which sucks for counting. This night it's completely empty.

I think **** it I bet a bunch of people in surveillance called out sick nobody cares about anything on a day like this.

A half hour later a pit boss called me by name (I wasn't using a card that day) and told me no more blackjack blah blah blah.

Being I play poker there I never tried playing bj there again. A few months after my backoff a lot of the main floor went to 6 decks with really good pen and I can't play. If I didn't play poker I would have just played again there a few months later but I'm not trying to get trespassed. Pretty sure if I didn't play when the casino was so empty I could have gotten a lot more hours in without issue.
Sorry to hear it. Bad run out, but I think you got your money in good there. Most times, I bet you're able to make a nice score going for it under those conditions.

There's someone in Diesel's comments who really doesn't like when he calls it Bally's poker room. He straight up threatened him over it.

What a thing to be so worked up over.

In today's video Rice is so traumatised at having to briefly play 6 handed that he had to runn off and play the Limit games instead. In his own words he 'just couldn't take it' (3 times he tells us this). He must be a super nit.

I knew better. I didn't even click it.

So I guess his challenges are a way to cope for the way he just lives his everyday life and doesn't have to admit to. He's not a promo grinder he's just doing a "challenge".

"I don't play for the promos, this is just a challenge. "

What viewers ask for:
Run up your bankroll playing 2/5 challenge

In a few weeks:

I have some new challenges based on what the viewers asked for!

Living in my car for 1 year challenge!

Keeping my laundry expenses to $0 challenge!

Well the issue was that there was some confusion or miscommunication regarding his hours and the net result is that Rice tragically had to play an additional 2 hours at the Westgate (according to his records)
I looked into playing that promo next time I'm in town before I realized it was 30 freakin hours. They certainly don't want tourists there because the promo runs through Sunday but they don't pay you until the FOLLOWING THURSDAY. It takes more than a week and a half from promo start until you get the money. They also won't send it to you and after a short amount of time you forfeit it if you don't pick it up. It's like they're screaming to tourists DON'T PLAY HERE.

I mean he did gut it out for a whole 29 minutes! Love the part where he says “I’m tired of playing 5 or 6 handed all the time” during a video where he says he’s been playing 9 handed full tables at Westgate all week then “instantly” got tired of playing 6 handed at the Horseshoe and quit after half an hour. The self contradiction is amazing with this guy.

The guy is the biggest nit in the world, also he loves exaggerating. His version of playing short handed is if someone's gets up from the table for 5 minutes and they go from being 9 handed to 8 people. He probably refuses to play until a seat is filled the instant a player leaves. Basically anything less than 9 handed with everyone at the table is playing short handed to a super nit like Rice.

Wonder if maybe someone was raising too much at the NL table. In LHE the raises are only 8 bucks at a time. Surely Diesel knows there's more variance in LHE, right?

The extra ev from playing that night definitely wasn't worth it long term. If it was a place i was visiting or even a place I didn't care about for anything other than BJ it wouldn't be a big deal. Id just go back a few months later to play.

Definitely annoying when I'm buried on a poker list,or done playing and they have a bunch of deeply cut 6 deck games with great rules everywhere and I can't play.

It's hilarious these types at the Westgate. You have the Trooper, although only on Thursdays. But then you have Rice, Pman and also TBC. Would love to see them all at the same table. Rice deliberately avoided Trooper's game this last Thursday due to wanting to bum hunt the pool tournament players.

This reminds me during the plexiglass 7 handed COVID era tables heading some cry baby nit in the 2/5 nl a few tables over (so he was quite loud) bitching bc the game was often 5 or 6 handed "when you finally get aces and raise short handed nobody else has anything".

It's almost like poker isn't about waiting for aces and praying someone has kings . It just dawn on him he should be raising more hands.

Lol players like Rice only want to play in games where they can profitably fold everything except for AK and JJ+

And the more money they can squeeze out of promos the better. Rice only loves the ones where it's just pure rakeback because you are literally just getting handed all the promo money that everyone else doesn't care about who plays casually/recreationally

“Our Weekly Loyalty Promo! Play 30 hours live game get $200 from Monday 10:00 am till Monday 9:59 am .(To be paid Monday Eve After 4 pm) “

I'm pretty sure the winning option was to survive on sardines and mayonnaise packets for 1 week.

The overwhelming winner, and all of the top comments, told Diesel to play 2/5.

Looking forward to next weeks' 30 hours of shitty promo 1/2 grinding and living on rice, canned tomatoes, and bargain bin sausage!

Super cope Diesel doesn't like shorthanded games cause he's an uber nit? Nope. It's cause full games have a higher average pot size. He's played heads up once so obviously he's not afraid to play short handed lol. Nope, it's average pot size is what he's looking for. That's why he plays at Horseshoe so much. Not because of the promo. Horseshoe is renowned in Vegas for the higher average pot size and those hours promos create such huge pots on average vs say Wynn 1-3. No action at Wynn 1-3.

"The average pot size is almost always bigger when more people are at the table. That's what I want. Sometimes there's an exception. Like on the second day of the challenge when I left a full game to go to a 5-handed game at Bell." - Diesel

Maybe he's saving that for Red Rock or GN.

OR it might be because the blinds come around slower on full games.
