To call someone an epicurean means something altogether different, due to the connotations of the word.
Yeah. It is ironic. As if in 2000 years "Trumpism" means you want extremely liberal immigration laws.
IDK if the guy's ever read 1 word of philosophy or whatever. But his general outlook seems to be to lead a very simple life and find enjoyment in eating cheap food and watching King of Queens. And to avoid the stress and hassle of being a 9/5er or a family man.
Nothing wrong with that imo. Not that he is a sage himself, but it's an aproach favored by many wise people from many cultures.
He says he genuinely enjoys llsnl even putting in big hours. If that's true, I think he's doing OK. Most people hate work and he likes it.
I wish he'd take some steps forward. He doesn't want to stare at solvers all day.
Ok, Instead of trooper vids, watch Galfond, Hanson and Little videos. They are entertaining enough if you like poker.
Clean up those sports bonuses as he drives across the country.
And so on. I'd be happy to see him pull it off.
