Trooper with some gems in this one, like 20% of individuals in the US make over 100k, 34% of households make over 100k, according to google just now, i dont think its unreasonable to buy a louis v purse if youre household makes over 100k, i personally wouldnt do it and dont see the appeal at all and think its stupid personally, but wouldnt hate so hard on anyone who wanted to buy one, but i dont think its a ridiculous thing to buy nice things. In trooper world where he is 50 years old and has worked as a waiter or dealer his whole live, 5k is probably more than his networth for 90% of his life, so it makes sense to think its so absurd. God forbid they get married and trooper has to buy a diamond ring, is he going to spend even 5k on that? That is a racket as well, but it is what it is in the US, every girl wants a big diamond ring. He kept saying how 99.99% cant afford a louis bag or go into any of those stores around the casinos. There is a grain of truth to it, and their appeal is supposed to be that they are exclusive, but i think alot of people in vegas can afford those things, especially people who stay at the Aria or Wynn, if youre gonna say 100k makes you be able to afford a 5k purse, 20% of the population makes that on their own, 34% of households, certainly the people at the aria and wynn, two upscale hotels, especially Wynn are not your average population, probably like 75%+ of the people staying in those hotels can afford a louis V purse by the parameters that if you make 100k you can afford a 5k purse. Weird thing to care about by me, but like youre allowed to have nice things.

Looking at their site, they have purses for like 2500, wallets for 350, its expensive stuff no doubt, but you dont have to be a billionaire to afford a $400 wallet

He kept saying that 99.999% of people cant afford any of the stuff they sell to explain the above if you didnt see it

If Tim would ever stop talking about things he clearly doesn’t understand, his videos would be silent films, and that would probably result in an upgrade in quality of said videos.

T doesn't seem to understand that 99.99% of what he sees on the street is counterfeit.

Watched a little bit of Boski's last video live micro video after the sick river beat on the prior video when he went deep in the ACR tourny. I think Boski could smell getting over that $1,000,000 hump that he's been trying to get past for like a year now.

Meanwhile Rampage just netted out like what $400k in a few hours playing against a spewtard and predictiable rocks. If Rampage has learned one thing, it's about exposure and getting into these types of games. I am not going to speak for Rampage at his Ace high insta call for what was it a few hundred K but it's my belief Air Ball is throwing off some insta tells (lol heavy breathing lol maybe). Keep in mind I am not sitting there watching all 6 hours of any stream, but to me it's more baffling that Airball is questioning how someone can insta call ace high vs him instead of looking within and saying ok what the hell am i doing here that is allowing people to insta call me for $300k with ace high. Seems pretty ABC. Guessing he's adjusted for next time.

Even though cash games arent his thing, I'd like to see someone give Boski $100k no strings attached to get into the HUstler cash game as I believe Boski could more than hold his own in that game. I think he just needs to watch the past videos....

Regardless Rampage is king of the mountain at this point just playing some sick poker......a close second is Mariano. No possible way NEEME or OWEN can catch up to these two because they will NEVER be invited to either LATB or Hustler Live because they are action killers. Nothing against them they are profitable players and have carved out a nice niche in the poker world but lets be realistic here Mariano and Rampage are playing at a higher level currently imo. They have learned how to spew with questionable hands, reel it in, and book huge profits. It's quite the art imo. And absolutely fun to watch. And I hate watching live poker.

Totally agree. What Rampage and Mariano is doing/has been doing is an art. They also seem to be extremely good/comfortable socially, they dont come off with any sense of weird/tense energy or something like that.

Very likeable, they wear normal clothes talk normally and just seems like enoyable people to be around.

Masterful example of how it can be done in the pokerworld.

Mariano and Rampage are successful because they put poker and networking first. The vlog is just a mechanism for the viewers to ride along. For many others, the vlog is a means to an end. Whether it's monetary or chasing clout, it's not about the journey as much as it's about the personal validation.

Here is my xLog for the day...

The 3/5 1500max game at South Point is like chewing on bland card board after it has been sitting out in the sun for nearly a decade.

A table of Miserable BORING people, dealers are fun though.

It is no Wonder I hardly EVER play there...

Networking is not everything but it is key. Rampage and Mariano went to almost all of the Owen/Neeme MUGs. Jaman initially networked with Trooper then got himself in Negreanu vlogs. El Diesel is doing the right thing networking with Trooper but once he gets several thousand views he should look into networking with the bigger ones.

There may be a case for anti-networking. Boski piggybacking Trooper early on by trolling him. A new vlogger can follow the same tactic by trolling the established ones, and getting an excuse to get those older vloggers names as keywords. Maybe even getting a response from them, which would be like hitting a jackpot.

Trooper doesn’t understand the markets for luxury goods but spends an ungodly amount on overpriced coffee and strip food. I get that he had a tough upbringing but get out of your own head and realize people choose to blow their money on different things, including you, and that isn’t a bad thing.

Also, I thought these off strip casinos had decent action, what has happened? I’ve only ever played on strip but I remember hearing on here grinders would rather play at places like the Orleans, Southpoint, and Redrock most of the time, think Brad Owen did that too in the early years.

I found myself chasing hours for the winter freeroll at southpoint. You have a few splashy players but most of the regs are super tight and open up to $7 raises on average. I’m sure El Diesel can make a 30 min vlog based on tight poker hands just at southpoint. I did cash for $200 in the freeroll but you have a much better chance to increase your win rate say at belliago and aria than playing in that nit fest.

I think Brad was trying to copy Rampage's style in the Lodge high stakes games but ended up coming off as even more of a nit after he started whining about his losses on twitter

Ah makes sense, thanks. The people that raise to $7 are so funny to me, when they open so tight and loose, passive fun players will call much bigger, it’s not these nits are worried about or trying to induce 3bets, just pure scared money.

Yea I get when I started playing rasie sizes pre were way bigger but shoot me in the face with this tiny stuff.
I was watching Jamans last vlog and in 5/10/20 nl people were opening to 50 and going heads up to flops.
Shoot me in the face.

Min-raise up to 2.5 are standard in Jaman's game.

I miss the Maryland games. Even at 1/3, guys are regularly opening for $30+ because it's their lucky hand. Raise to $15 2-3x an orbit off strip and the game damn near breaks.

Lol at El D 'networking' with Trooper..... they are long term buddies that hang out together

I'm pretty sure El D doesn't want to network with other vloggers or be part of that scene / clique. He is doing his own thing! I also suspect he wouldn't want to join meetup games as he would think they are too splashy for him

GGAI has a style of mocking existing vloggers but obviously in a comedy way and they are friends with him. Would be funny to have someone come along that genuinely beefed with them!

If they livestreamed Trooper Thursday, it's guaranteed to garner more views than Live at the Bike which on a Wednesday could only get 380 views 4 hours into the stream.

Zero chance Trooper Thursday Livestream gets less than 1,000 views. Could peak to as much as 3,000 views hours into the game.

I'm guessing your average trooper game is just a limp fest with maybe just him doing all the raising and then spewing 50BB's every hand when his live tells get mixed up because someone has heartburn

Probably giving them too much credit. They're mainly just being at the right place at the right time.

At their age group, they're basically awkward kids that only network well with other awkward kids within that same age group. Awkward being relative compared to older and more experienced adults.

They were also far less of poker players than they were whatever else. They didn't really know poker, hence they naturally gravitated toward elements that matter less to poker players and more to basically everyone else.

It is one of the main reasons why they did so well, and why everyone else who are more experienced in poker do worse. Plus they haven't been playing poker long enough to let the negativity and misery affect them.

Yeah I think you're just trying too hard at this point. Why don't you just step away from the keyboard for a little while, get some new perspective on life and a reasonable trolling strategy. Just sit the next play out, champ.

Everything is going to be OK.

This thread could either go silent for weeks, or explode like Hiroshima.

I would feel sorry for the angry, bitter jealousy of the haterz if that happened. I could easily foresee numerous sudden cardiac deaths from heart attacks the victims of which only see the white chat screens of two plus two as the last thing they see. We could also see a spike in domestic violence calls the day Trooper cashes. It could get dangerous and apocalyptic pretty fast. We're talking January 6th levels of danger.

At the same time, though, I could see one of Trooper's follow-up vlogs being titled "Suck It Two Plus Two" and consisting of the very type of rant so often criticized by the haterz in this forum directed at the very haterz of the forum.

xLog

I was playing Roulette at a 'locals' casino yesterday (not South Point) and I was firing my last bullet for $50 on five double streets, and when one of the Streets hit the dealer mis-paid me to the tune of +10.5x.

The pay should have been 5/1 on a double street but she paid me 11/1.
