Ditto for me. Had lasik 8 years ago, can still read at distance great, but up close had to go with readers.

Trooper did that first.

I think rampage is the most entertaining though and I don’t think his yt algo numbers reflect this yet. Who are the 450k+ subscribers subbed to brad Owen and not rampage?

I hate to bring up race but these numbers don’t make any sense.
I'm not sure which is more racist, you saying that Brad Owen perfected the vlog or you hating to bring up race when it needed to be brought up.

Someone posted this photo with Trooper in it in the fast food thread. Figured it needed to be posted here too.

Giving trooper credit would be like Henry Ford giving bikes credit for introducing the idea to get around.

The first time I came across trooper it was a trickster poker vlog where he shows like 15 minutes of live poker hands. I probably watched for 1 or 2 years hoping to get more live table hands until neeme came around and gave the viewer what they wanted.

Brad Owen has been around much longer which is the main reason he has more subscribers than rampage. View count is much more important than subscriber count.

Trooper should get his twitter account back soon, as Elon took over today and fired the top people and is going to bring back all lifetime banned people. lol

Twitter is already amazing tonight.

You have to play to your strengths and to you're audience that aligns with you as a vlogger. Trooper is a right wing nut and has that niche. Pman should start pandering to his base and do a more gay themed poker vlog. If he just let everyone know how "out" going he was he would attract more of his people to his channel.

Here's an Andrew Neeme vlog from 5 years ago in which he talks about what got him into vlogging:

He says this at about 7:20:
"So it's just a little bit of self-awareness, where I've been able to … pay the bills with poker. Will I be one of the best poker players out there? Nope, don't think so. Are there are other things that I'm interested in—creating things, working on some projects, sharing those projects with people? Yeah. And like I said, got that inspiration from Casey Neistat—probably about 90, 95% Casey Neistat, 5% from the Trooper. Thought I could do some things a little bit differently and decided to give it a whirl."

This is consistent with other things I remember Neeme saying in other vlogs too. I don't think he's cutting the Trooper out by not mentioning him today. Neeme's main inspiration was always Neistat, and his main motivation was recognizing that he'd advanced as far as he was going to in poker and wanting a creative outlet to complement, if not someday supplant, the grind.

Trooper just tweets on his Go Gamble account anyway so his ban hasn't been very effective. I'm pretty sure circumventing the ban like that p Iis against the terms of service and the secondary account can also be banned. However, they probably only enforce this for high profile bans so someone like Trooper can just fly under the radar

He only has 1050 followers on GGW twitter, I think he had like 4 times that on his original. I don't think having multiple accounts on there was against policy, it doesn't matter anymore now, with Elon you would really have to do something bad to get banned.

It doesn't matter now if Elon unbans everyone. There is a rule against the same person using proxy accounts, Trump has got in trouble for that previously. In the case of Trooper obviously very few people will follow his new account so nobody at twitter will care (although they may take action if people complain and bought it to their attention)

Trooper is competition, Neistat isn't. That's why Neeme doesn't mind "advertising" the latter. Nothing wrong with it. Coke shouldn't be advertising Pepsi by mentioning it anywhere either.

It's more like Coke vs the store brand cola. While there is some overlap in content there is way more difference.

Jaman was on Only Friends yesterday. What a good dude, gave a lot of insight into his early vlogging, and specifically highlighted Trooper as one of his main influences.

The 5% from Trooper is when Neeme is holding a beverage on camera.

Very disturbing that, in the latest Solve for Why Friends podcast, Jaman has stated that he knows people who buy views and pay for subscriptions. If this is not cheating, I don't know what is.

He further says that a vlogger who pays for views and subscriptions can use them as "social proof" to gain access to the WPT, WSOP and others, telling them that their channels are "poppin", all for some gain.

Very disturbing.

Meanwhile many of them are promoting the illegal poker apps. Here is a list of people likely NOT promoting those apps, many of the other popular ones not listed are.
