Many 40 somethings credit Hellmuth, Ivey, and Negreanu as their inspirations.

50 somethings credit Johnny Chan...

Older ones credit Stuey, Doyle, Johnny Moss and the other oldies.

It is only natural for Rampage to credit the second generation and third generation vloggers as his inspiration.

Greg Goes All In is crediting Rampage primarily as his inspiration.

Future vloggers won't be crediting the second and third, and definitely not the first, generation of vloggers as their inspiration.
Lol @ "the other oldies".

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

George Santayana.

What Moneymaker, and television, did was historic because it inspired poker players of all ages at the time to go online, growing the industry pool incredibly

That was pretty awesome to watch...... the first ever proper poker vlog! Thanks for posting

It is a shame that Trooper moved away from the poker at the table content after inventing it. First time I saw him was in about 2016 just before Neeme came along and I watched his videos for a bit but found it was mostly him outside or in his car ranting about non poker stuff and only briefly covering his sessions and occasional hand reviews. After a while I just gave up on it.

I find the poker parts of the vlogs to be the most boring. Trooper should have just gone harder with the ranting and raving. Had he played his cards right, he could be setting up a boxing match against Floyd Mayweather Jr right now.

Just heard Brad say on this video that you can get the Youtube dislikes back with chrome extension. I googled and it's called "Return YouTube Dislike" It works I see them again!

I hear them all talking about the vloggers but didn't hear any Trooper mentioned. Maybe when it's done I can get a time stamp.

Troopers name was mentioned several times about 30 mins in (Apologies I should have taken the timestamp)

10 mins later Brad says Andrew is the reason for the poker vlogs being succesful

Think he threw more shade at the type of people that watch Trooper videos (ITT).

Trooper hasn't hate-tweeted anything in 5 days now.
This makes me a bit concerned about his well being.

Doug Polk is contemptuous of 'The Trooper' to say the least.

Andrew Neeme tried to remain diplomatic about the Trooper.

Eventually 'The Trooper' is going to see this clip, and be none too pleased.

Polk acts a bit childish at times and Trooper is liable to smack the child right out of him. Good thing their paths are unlikely to cross anytime soon.

I can only imagine that such an encounter would only end with Trooper turning around and slinking away, a tear rolling down his cheek while he looks for his boosted board.

Neeme gave a perfect description of Trooper's marketing strategy:

In terms of market segmentation and target marketing, Trooper has essentially made himself a very tiny fish in a very large and red (because of blood everywhere) ocean by competing in the lifestyle market. Plus, Trooper has not segmented that market and try to position himself as a leader in a particular segment of that market. There is food reviewing, room reviewing, info for tourists, guiding people who want to move to Vegas, etc. Trooper has not carved a segment in that super big ocean that he could dominate by himself. Its not too late. He can combine food/poker, politics/poker, and whatever. But he should narrow his focus and have the discipline to stick with that.

On the other hand, great marketers in all industries try to segment the market and make themselves the biggest fish inside that tiny market. For instance, when Jack Welch took over GE several decades ago, his first decision was to divest all business units that wasn't either number 1 or number 2 in their niches.

Nothing wrong with Trooper just being himself. But he should be disciplined rather than punch everything everywhere. Politics is my suggestion for him. "Masks are the new cigarette butts" was a great theme as an entry but he should stick with it and SEO with it. Masks/Las Vegas/Poker can be a good focus zone that can help revive his viewership.

He really needs to pivot somehow like the hodge twins did to the conservative twins.

Wow! Brad Owen is predicting that Rampage will surpass him and become the biggest poker vlogger. Sometime between 1:25 and 1:31.

That seems like a no brainer bet. GGIA will prolly pass them both and I don't even watch him since all he posts is dumb #shorts but that is the way YT is heading.

It took me awhile to figure out what GGIA was an abbreviation for.

I stopped watching him, just too silly for me.

He has the occasional home run, surrounded by many a strike outs.

Very funny. Troop is a fat old man with no money for an attorney.

Aka no money to be gained by suing him. That's more power to The Troop.

Trooper is probably in better shape but I don't want to judge either one. I think Trooper would probably say "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, but rather the size of the fight in the dog."

I know you say a lot of things in jest and your posts are very good but do you really think Troop has much fight in him? Have there been any known physical altercations he's got into over the years or even cases where he's really argued back at someone? I know his anger levels are high and he can certainly go off on a good rant into his camera!

I just remember the one time he bravely hid behind that bush and I remember that other time he chased down that thief and nearly got physical with him. I also vaguely remember a couple stories where he talked about having to get physical. He even stood up to a bully in grade school if my memory serves me correct.
