I thought some people might read my post and think I was making fun of him. I wasn't, but interesting/entertaining isn't always a compliment.
I actually don't think it's that easy of a call at 1-2 and it's easy for people to be results oriented (including Trooper). But I suspect even without any tells, Trooper makes the call anyway because he calls a lot of big bets on the river and as a result would catch more people bluffing than most other people. IMO too much calling in that spot is a leak and this result will reinforce the idea he has that they bluff all the time.
Edit: Also saying he doesn't talk about ranges, lines, etc. isn't exactly a compliment either.

I find it funny how he puts so much emphasis on this one hand when his "read" was purely some tell that the guy had. Nothing about the line taken or ranges as mentioned above. I really believe that he makes this call very often and many times finds himself getting stacked and just writes it off as running bad.
Agreed. He also never mentions the pot odds in these spots.
