Trooper getting in 100 bigs preflop with QQ and running into KK. Lol. You would think Trooper would learn by now that at 1-3, people aren't getting in 100 bigs light very often especially when it gets to the four bet range.

But he'll just chalk it up to a cooler and continue getting in 100 bigs pre with at worst a flip cause he's bad at postflop poker.

What if you were only playing 2-3 hour sessions and taking long coffee breaks in the middle of them? People get on Trooper for not playing more hours, and taking too many days off when he doesn’t feel like playing. But grinding it out for a lot more hours and thinking you run worse than anyone at 1-2 NL sounds like it’s not much fun.

Better to go home early and be around Lady Trooper and her positivity.

Trooper just can't seem to get the hang of it.

Sometimes he gets it in pre-flop cause of anger-management issues, sometimes cause he's just bad at poker, and sometimes cause he's just plain scared.

Yup, a 4 bet pot rarely means pairs Jacks or lower, so at best you are flipping against AK, or being crushed by AA's or KK's. Sure, there are splashy games that this might not be true, etc etc etc.

I don't subscribe to that bullshit. Live is not online. Volume and variance doesn't correlate the same way between live and online. Only breakeven shitregs believe that.

Correct. This isn't online 6 max with wizards. Any decent size winner at 2/5 will never break even over 1k hours. It is FAR more likely they are overestimating their skill level than they are just the unluckiest player on the planet.

About a third of the games at 1-3 are splashy but as a general rule no one down there felts with JJ or less. It is ultimately opponent dependent.
