Sometimes he gets it in pre-flop cause of anger-management issues, sometimes cause he's just bad at poker, and sometimes cause he's just plain scared.
Yup, a 4 bet pot rarely means pairs Jacks or lower, so at best you are flipping against AK, or being crushed by AA's or KK's. Sure, there are splashy games that this might not be true, etc etc etc.
