How much has Limon won? Can you link me to his hendon? I think he is a moron personally.

Breakeven poker player and anti-vaxxer gives his opinions on poker, covid vaccine and life, who wouldn't want to listen to that for 1.5 hours? puke.

Pure button clicking that never works against anyone that is thinking/studied.
It seems he's around breakeven at 2/5 at Wynn, which is fine for his skill level. Not a huge sample size to tell if he's a slight loser or winner, but it doesn't seem like he's getting crushed there. Might be -30 to +30 an hour over the long term imo. It's a tougher 2/5 game, but you're obviously right in that anything bigger he's seen as one of the fish and that's why he's being invited to these games.

Nothing against Rampage or anyone like him, I've just known so, so many players over the last 15 years where a big score was the worst thing that could have happened for them. Seems another clear case.

Re: Las Vegas Poker Player Vlogs

Remember Rampage is still in his 20's. Mid 20s' I think at most.

The odds of him not getting caught up in all the attention he is getting, nor his ambition leading him to disaster are slim to none. The dream of never having to work a real day in his life is in his hands right now and the odds are, he will let it slip through his fingers before rebuilding his life at some point.

Give a 50 year old a $160K score and 100K subscribers vs a 24 year old?
Two very different outcomes will follow

I bet an interview with Rampage 10 years from now about his "early days" would be filled with a lot of "I had no idea what I was doing, or how to make the money/situation last" He will say looking back he cant believe he ever tried to sit in a 10/20 game 2 years into playing and laugh at himself.

I like the guy, but as they say, "youth is wasted on the young"

The counterpoint: Now is the time to take big chances. He's young, not married, no kids. Now is the time to go big.

He shouldn't be in his 50s thinking "man, why didn't I shoot my shot when I had that tournament score?"

IMO, sure, his percentage chance is low. But if he's going to try, now is the time.

All the best luck to him.

Well conveyed Die With Zero logic. I agree especially because Rampage has many non-poker outs. He is no Eskimo or Stuey, both of whom had no other options and were addicts.

Re: Las Vegas Poker Player Vlogs

Does Rampage want to be a long-term full-time poker player or he is a guy who just wants to be Youtube famous and fell into poker as his best avenue to get there?

this is correct in that he should shot take now, but going broke when you're on top of the world when you thought you could literally never go broke... sucks. And it happens to so many people that fly up like he did (myself included 10 yrs ago). Once you go broke and reset you understand how stupid you are and respect $ more, which he may have to do to be fixed at this point.

I kind of agree that he can be more aggressive at this stage of his life, but he needs a solid plan. Being a fish in bigger games is a terrible plan (if it’s even a plan at all). That’s simply suicide.

I know you're a moron for using hendon to judge whether someone is successful in poker or not.

I have multiple friends who grinded up 6 figure rolls or were tournament crushers then sat 200/400 with Ivey or Dwan and lost their BRs.

A few others who had 6 or 7 figure scores that didn't last 5 years.

Pretty standard for most to think that if I had done it, I can do it again.

Re: Las Vegas Poker Player Vlogs

The problem with winning a tournament if you’re not an actual tournament crusher then it’s like hitting a massive roulette roll on your first spin. So it gives you this negative reinforcement to both fire many bullets and think you are better than you are so you won’t try and improve.

Then there’s the old school mindset of you needing to be a good cash game player bc you need to grind a steady profit bc tournaments are too much variance.

There’s also so much downtime between live mtt schedules so you have to be able to survive in the cash streets in the meantime.
