He didn't just decline my offer, I actually felt he was calling me a hater and a troll... I was the complete opposite and still am.

I enjoy the Vlogs, I enjoy tracking the different Vloggers and how their subscriber base goes and seeing their efforts to monitize.

Trooper reminds me of someone I encountered about 7 years ago when the affiliate bubble was starting to blow up on Facebook. I was just starting out by making a sports betting facebook page and trying to grow it. At the same time I noticed a similar page starting up and attempting the same thing. We did pretty much the same activities to boost Like's. Once we got to about 2,000 (We were growing at such a similar rate) I noticed he started spamming his page hard. 6 months later he had about 2,500 likes on the page and it was basically dead. The page I had had already exceeded 120,000 Likes and was now making me a small fortune. Since then I doubt that guy has made more than a few $ off of his page (Which is now completely dead) but I have gone on to make 7 figures and continue to grow...

Tim banging out daily videos may be ok for some of the viewers but the lack of quality and originality means new subscribers are rare in comparison to someone who posts a bit less but has a lot more quality.... He may make a few extra bux by relentlessly churning these videos out but in the long run he has killed his business....

I met trooper when the first thread began. He would roll by the v (I was living in LV and playing full time) - and we'd shoot the breeze. Like all new people to the scene I am quite nice and if I like em I'll buy em a meal (with the excessive comps I had earned) and "give them the lay of the land"

He talked a good game and I honestly thought he had what it took to beat the games

Before he got staked by carl he came to me looking for one. There was another successful pro who I am buds with that sat in on it. The $ to stake a 1/2 player means pretty close to zero to me and I thought it would be a fun sweat and I would be helping someone out

When he outlined his proposal - based on his current (at the time) w/r and his projected hours. I felt that it would be impossible for him to build a roll AND he would be an indentured servant. I told him this and that I could not do this to him in good conscience. I countered with - I would stake him if he had part time employment so that he could build a roll and continue with his journey as an aspiring pro. He obviously declined. I realized at this point his destiny and pretty much stopped watching his videos.

I have been hesitant to post this story. I am actually posting it up in hopes that he has an account here and reads this thread and it does in fact give him a reality check.
Refusing to get a job is a tell. Especially when you are living on the margins and begging for money and coffee mugs on the internet. Then again people that are unemployed on the net all day usually attract that same kind of people.

A person that doesn't understand things like bankroll management or expenses will never become full time poker pros.

It's quite fun to watch though.

Good question.

The trolling phenomenon is beyond my comprehension. The forum interest is just as mind boggling. With stagnant sub growth, not sure how troop is constant topic here. For some reason there's not a mirror in subs and forum posters. If there was balance andrew would be primary discussion.

sad reality i see is the forum posts about troop's vlogs are more entertaining than troop's vlogs. Like dburg says it's a mental soup kitchen for anyone interested in analyzing why we like what we like. and how people think of themselves...seen in their posts about troop.

I pull for trooper from a far but watching his vlogs daily not a vibe i'm on.

I had to watch (some of) Trooper's latest vlog. This place is a daycare compared to the YouTube comments section. Sheesh

Oh yeah? Well I did too and I recognized that I was in the presence of greatness. I didn't buy him a starbucks though which was probably wrong of me and he proceeded to tilt go off on a nice MAWG in our 2nd session. That's my fault.

Don't get me wrong, one of the reasons I still read this thread is to swim within the postings of borderline narcissistic sociopaths. Partially fascinated, partially disgusted and always reminded of the complexity of the human brain and its capacity for me driven cruelty, this thread and the previous thread are a psychologist's dream.

So, I guess?, keep on keep'n on? Maybe there's a chance the Narc/Socios will realize they are truly damaged souls and seek help. Or...not.

Cheers!
DBurg, thank you for saying what needed to be said.

Instead of Trooper recycling the same material day after day, I would like to see him make a well made 15-20 minute Vlog every 3 days or so like Andrew does.

Trooper probably averages about two minutes of entertainment and information spread out in every 10 minute vlog..he is like the Jim Rome of Vlogs..says the same thing over and over to fill the required airtime..

Since everyone is letting things off their chest, maybe it's about time that Carl updates us with his dealings with Trooper. It would be his most watched vlog of all time.

Some of you folks are just as sensitive as Troop. Nobody here is trolling the guy minus one or two creepy ass stalkers that were banned and are gone. Nobody here makes dumbass YouTube comments. Your average 2p2er knows the difference between YOUR and YOUR'RE and THEIR and THERE. The average YouTube commenter does not.

Trooper does not get "trolled" here whatsoever.

Opinions are shared, that is it.

Some of those opinions are negative. Some of those opinions are positive.

Stop being snowflakes.

Stagnant in comparison to someone with less than 30 posted vlogs, who has double troop in subs.

d.c. i know you're the lead guy on troop's defense team. but maybe you're mixing me up with the many people who drop kick, pile-drive and ddt the **** out of troop's vlogs. i'm clearly pretty neutral. but i don't hesitate to say that boski has highest entertainment value on vlogs. and i'll mention for those who like hand reviews doug polk is my fav. i recommend his content. he gives optimal lines for every street for all players in the hand. lot to soak up. plus he's funny af.

i dropped the troll line in a post. maybe it's not extreme youtube trolling going on here. but when the majority of a posters comments on the vlog are negative...they're kinda trolling imo.

i don't like seeing anyone get crushed. so maybe i'm semi supporting troop (snow flaking) by agreeing that the thread is turning troop into a piñata.

Brings it on himself.

The NPD diagnosis some have given might answer a lot of questions.

His videos are filled with self praise and ironic/hypocritical hate.

He hates:
People who play poker sick(he does it)
Backpack wearers who aren't self aware
Tourists who walk slow
Escalators that are out of order
Families that bring kids to Vegas

The above list could be 8,336 pages long. The point is he takes big angry stances against those who give honest opinions towards his "public" opinions and actions all the while making money off of complaining and hating about everything/everyone he encounters.

there was a poker vlogger "boom" around the time Andrew got a little traction. he probably got it b/c of Trooper, in turn took off like gangbusters and gave Trooper his biggest sub growth ever. now it's petered out.

troopers subs jumped once the thread here was made. that's how i found out about it, and that's how he started getting traction, he'll just refuse to ever credit the thread.

last thing I'll say lest i look like an H word. I always get a kick out of his reaction when people try to photobomb him. then he says something like "never seen someone walking around filming themself before?" ... i mean, even in this day and age, let's not act like a normal person isn't doing a doubletake when someone is talking to a camera they are holding in their own face.

Just had a look to see if any of the videos are worth catching up on and noticed that since he came back from Austria he's posted 12 videos, 4 of which have been mail time and 1 seems to be about a poll.

He puts up mail time on YouTube. Only the donators are getting the exclusive content.

He continually tries to tell everyone how he is a genuine nice guy, good guy, honest person, blah blah blah etc. But typically the truly good people dont have to let everyone know this, it just is.
As a poster said before, he is consistently contradicting himself. It would be refreshing to see him just be honest (something he tries desperately wants others to think of him). Along the lines of

- "I thought I would be higher in poker stakes by now, but my laziness and stubbornness to learn has really limited me. I love making vlogs, and I love the income that comes from them, be it from advertising and or donations."

Just something like that would probably earn more subs, it would earn mine.

True, but self reflection and honesty are not Troops specialty :-(

He could learn this by watching some Andrew vlogs!

I think you just supplied his first line: "Hey everyone, I'm Carl also known as a Pure Aggression on 2plus2 and I am Trooper's original Vegas backer."

That'd be a fantastic start and then he can add the rest of the details after that.
