Really good work, hope he continues to make these.

I would even donate a small amount to encourage this format.

That seems crazy to me

He has coffee with his sugar, not the other way around.

Good thing trooper shows some poker in his lifestyle vlog or we wouldn’t be able to talk about him.

He said "won a whopping ..." something, but I can't remember the number. The way he said it though, it wasn't a big number.

Yes that is very true. And I guess if you can put up with him enough to sit through it and laugh it could be quite amusing. For me I just want to turn it off immediately. But he doesn't seem like a bad guy or anything and I certainly don't hate him.... just not interested in his content!

When I watch them, they are less than 12 minutes. I skip the intro BS and the fancy branding graphics. I scroll until I see the first hand, and I start watching. I skip all the silly "B Roll" footage that a few of them have to put in of fountains, sushi, slow-motions of two cards being dealt, and casino art; I'm also pretty good at locating and skipping the in-video advertisement for "sponsored videos." I'm not remotely interested in your take on someone's product that is buying your opinion. Finally, skip the 3 minute outro, and of course, you have to have an ad-blocker on to avoid the damn YouTube ads. Ta-dah! about 8-10 minutes of poker video, unless it's Neeme's, then it's about 5-7 minutes.

Something boring you in the video? On a keyboard the right arrow advances the video 5 seconds and the L button advances the video 10 seconds. You want to hear/see something again? Left arrow is a 5 second rewind, the J button a 10 second rewind.

On a phone a double on the right of the video advances the video 10 seconds, double tap to the left is a 10 second rewind.

Most everyone probably already knows this. I wonder how many watch with the playback speed at 1.25x or more?
So much this. I watch Rampage, Mariano, and Lex all at 2x and still can follow everything. Brad and Boski I can only go to 1.5. Those of you watching at normal speed, I applaud your patience and envy your free time.

I mean, how simple would it be for him to just create 2 or 3 vlogs before hand and just have them scheduled to upload each day they are gone? He could have just had a 10 minute vlog discussing his thoughts on the WSOP and uploaded it one day and then had another day where he showed them making lollipops and dropping off the shipments or something simple. Then he would be able to make vlogs off of their travels.

Super simple, super easy, instead he is anchored to Vegas and has to do something daily for his vlog to make $30-50 a day. Does that sound like someone that is free and not working for anyone? Does he sound like he does what he wants and is his own boss?

"The vlog streak is important to him and I have to respect that."

IMO that shows she respects him and respects the things that are important to him. That’s not a bad sign for the relationship. That’s a good sign.

I don’t agree that having a vlog streak is important, but she seems to care that it’s important to him.

Why cant he just vlog from the car ranting? Show some Taco Bells in new places.

Going to California would open up all kinds of new opportunities and areas to rant against liberals.

Brilliant idea! Seems like a great way to keep the vlog streak going (for whatever reason he feels it's important even though it's not) while also testing out a way to streamline the process of making videos that can be implemented in the future to give him some flexibility in his schedule. I always figured having a flexible schedule is one of the main reasons to not be working for 'the man'.

Considering how logical and how well this solves the issues Trooper is currently having, he will definitely NOT be doing this. Unless he can somehow prove that he came up with this idea himself first and it was not suggested by anyone, he will never do this and will burn down the entire ship out of spite to make sure no one thinks that he answers to anyone or doesn't what other people tell him, including what his GF asks apparently.

Crazy old men gotta act crazy!

Also $30-$50 for 8-9K views a day is way too generous in the gambling category or whatever he's bunched into for his marketing label on YouTube. It's not like he's doing personal finance themed videos for some high CPM.

You might as well say that anyone whose income depends on selling things to other people is not their own boss.

He gets to decide his hours and what his content is. He can choose to be sub-optimal. We can't force him to do a better job. That makes him his own boss.

But he can’t even leave for a day. It would be the same if you chained someone to their desk at work and said they couldn’t leave for the next 5 days. They have 20 hours worth of work that they can do when they please, but they still have to be chained down and unable to do anything else. They get to decide when they work, so they are free and the boss of their own schedule right?

The vlog streak is just an excuse. That’s not the reason he isn’t going with her. He isn’t going because he likes his normal routine too much to do anything else. Of course that’s up to him and IMO it doesn’t mean he is a bad partner or anything like that.

It would seem kind of rude to tell her he hates going to California. It’s much easier to say “Damn, I would love to go but this vlog streak is so important and prevents me from going. It’s too bad because I would really love to go with you!”
