Granted I dont know the ins and outs of doing it on YouTube vs doing it on a website like YS. But I've staked quite a few people on YS and it seems like what Troop is proposing - selling small pieces to everyone that sponsors him, returning X% of the cash. Only in this case he is selling 100% and returning 100%.

I clearly havent thought this through, just genuinely curious. My guess is that YS is licensed or has a waiver (?) of some kind?
The legality of staking has probably never been challenged by a state and/or confirmed in a court. Fantasy sports betting is an example of what many assumed was legal but various states have since decided otherwise.

people that contribute to patreon... i don't get it. that goes for everyone who has one, not just Trooper. I've never once in my life thought "man, if i don't give he or she money, they might stop making stuff i like." if it costs me money, i like it significantly less. this isn't the same as cable or the internet. i'm not paying some "content creator" a stipend every month bc i like their music videos or something. that's insane to me.

maybe I'm just a cheap prick though.
To me it's a ploy he's looking for more donations so he can play other stuff then using his BR It looks like Patreon got stale and he's looking for a jump start.

Trooper is close to bust again it's pretty obvious. Asking for more donations etc...

If he had ample funds he'd actually do things that cost money to make the vlog interesting. $20 coupon runs and free coffee trips not included. Trooper is the bizarro-Casey Neistat.

I'm talking about all the cool **** you can do in Vegas for $100-$500.

And whatever happened to his 2/5 foray that lasted two days.

Anyone have a tally on his 2017 winnings? I'd be surprised if it's higher than $4,000 for the entire year. Tough to survive on $1,000/month plus random YouTube finds and donations.

I doubt the legality has never been tested, considering the IRS has a form (5754) precisely for this situation.

I haven't watched Trooper's video, so I don't know if what he is proposing is legal. But my guess is that he could probably do it in a legal way as long as he makes sure all the people buying pieces are of legal age and he is able to get their tax information if needed.

I meant legality tested in states where gambling isn't legal.

He probably paid off his first donor. Now he has a small bankroll. One of my favorite youtubers, Salomondrin, started a pay service for his content as well a couple of months ago. But at least his content (exotic cars) is better than Troopers. But like someone said earlier, I'd never pay for youtube content.
When Trooper mentioned offering "exclusive video content" for $2 donors -- I LMAO!!

Seems like several people have concluded that Trooper is so unattractive that there is no way he could attract a woman like this. If you start with that assumption, then you'll always be really skeptical.

I doubt anyone here really knows how attractive he is when he is around her. In person I've seen a side of him that actually seems very likeable, and he can be a really funny guy sometimes. If he is a funny guy around women (I'll admit this is a big if but it wouldn't surprise me if it's true), he could have more of an attractive personality than people think.

The biggest reason I'm surprised she is into him is he lives a pretty boring life. Nothing wrong with that but it certainly doesn't make him exciting.
I don't know why you would think a grown woman with kids is looking for something exciting. Newsflash: 99% of married couples lead a pretty boring life.

As for Trooper being unattractive, that's a ridiculous assertion. The ladies go crazy for the Troop. There is no denying that.

You talking about his original backer (backer in Vegas I mean)? I seriously doubt that he has paid that off in full.

Also, I'm still wondering if he got paid for his trip to Austria. If so, for what work? It did make me want to go skiing in Austria so I guess he should have earned something from someone.

Can someone point out what work trooper did in Austria.

He didn't cover the tournament, barely mentioned Intertops. It was a complete waste of money for whoever picked up his tab.

And as far as paying off his Vegas backer, (Carl?), I seriously doubt it.

I wouldn't assume that having kids means she would look for a different type of guy. People often don't do things that are reasonable. If they did everyone would exercise and eat a healthy diet, nobody would smoke, drink or do drugs, women wouldn't stay in abusive relationships, etc.

i've watched less than ten of trooper's vlogs. so i really can't give feedback like d.c. or other supporters.
but the question is why does trooper draw so much interest and so many opinions from people in the thread?? the consensus seems to be uneventful vlogs from a break even grump with a fake girlfriend. but he's the buzz itt 6 out of 7 days. andrew plays higher stakes, vlogs drone footage and has a african girlfriend. all things that could/should make for more discussion. i'm not suggesting one is better vlogger, player or person. but if andrew, boski or brad are better we'd never know by thread content. so why does trooper have all the juice??

People are jealous I think? When I lived in Japan I knew a girl who lived off of doing vlogs about her life in Tokyo and there were a ton of people online who would gossip about her, write creepy things about her, try to dox her, etc. Trooper is getting less of it because he's not an attractive woman but it's the same basic behavior that is going on in this thread (and I'm sure lots of other vloggers or similar celebrities get the same treatment).

People love to nitpick and gossip about others. Trooper is a lightning rod for that. Of course one of the trooper trolls is going to chime in with "he vlogs every day, so logically ...."

If you watched all of Trooper's vlogs you would know why Trooper is the #1 topic of discussion here. It's not too late for you to grind through all his videos.

Andrew looks like a nice guy but he kind of seems like a robot on camera and doesn't do things that will raise eyebrows that often. And he tends to play and think in a way that's more similar to the seriois player on 2+2. Also a large percentage of his videos are just showing him talking about hands.

$2 for EXCLUSIVE Trooper video footage still has me laughing. I also know there will be people out there that will pay for it. Crazy world, I love it

One thing I was suggesting was his videos don't make people say "OMG did you see what Andrew did/said today." As a result he gets fewer comments.

One thing that does make the Andrew hands more interesting is he does play at higher stakes than Trooper.

Curious how many donations Trooper would get if he said he needed them to take a shot at 2/5.

Trooper is quite the gentleman, opening up doors for Molly. We could all take notes.

Did anyone else notice Trooper checkin' out those hotties near the Bally's escalator? I sure hope Trooper isn't cheating on Molly. Say it ain't so Trooper!

https://youtu.be/k9JikOn0t-w?t=4m32s

BTW, nice to see Trooper playing Bellagio 1/3 again. I'd like to say he is moving up in level from 1/2 to 1/3 but as we've seen in the past, he sometimes wins big at 1/3 and then inexplicably doesn't play it again for months.

That 5$ donation idea was weird.

He should just say "hey guys, if you like the vlogs, consider supporting me with a $ or two on Patreon." There's really nothing wrong with that. Hundreds of YouTubers do the same.
