A politician's primary goal is to gain power. As Winston Churchill said: "Never let a good crisis go to waste." With every crisis comes opportunity, and there has not been a much bigger opportunity for a power grab than this pandemic.

Regarding masks, your opinion seems very uninformed. There are 600k+ dead Americans in large part because of mask wearing. Cloth masks that most people wear do not keep people safe. They are at best a net neutral but there have actually been studies showing that cloth mask wearers actually shed more particulates from basic activities like breathing than people who have no mask at all.

The worst thing about masks is that they give people a false sense of security. Elderly people were packing grocery stores like sardines thinking ineffective cloth masks would keep them safe when they should have been staying at home having their groceries delivered. Also, masks embolden sick people to go out because the mask provides an illusion of being a barrier to them spreading the disease.

That's not even mentioning all the people who don't cover their noses with their mask, pull their masks down to talk, touch surfaces and then touch their masks, reuse their dirty virus covered masks, or wear a completely silly mask like a piece of plexiglass barely covering the mouth which obviously doesn't do anything but has been allowed to be used throughout the US.

Quite possibly the most pig-ignorant statement I have ever read.

Of all the idiotic things DC has said, is this the most stupid statement yet?

I mean I don’t think DC is truly this stupid, he just has to be an epic troll just trying to say whatever gets people going in here. Well played now go get a life please.

To get this back on vlog talk, I just watched part of Trooper's visit to Resort World.

Is he looking at his hand as soon as he gets the second card due to vlogging or is he really that careless?

Plenty of people ARE that stupid.

fwiw, I apologize. I realize my calling DC "pig ignorant" was an insult to Arnold Ziffle and pigs everywhere

I'm so dumb I stocked up in supplies a month before there was a run on toilet paper. I'm so dumb that I didn't go to any grocery store, restaurant or store or any kind for 6+ months. I'm so dumb that when I did go out I triple layer masked including N95. I'm so dumb that I actually educated myself on the subject matter rather than simply taking politicians words on it.

Trooper is at a $1/3 table. Looking at your hand as soon as you get your second card is not "careless", imo. I know when I see the action coming my way, I look at my cards so I can be ready to act in turn as quickly as possible. Keep the game moving is what I'm thinking. You need to be ready to act at $1/3 and $1/2. This isn't high stakes poker.

Trooper is a genius at low stakes poker. He's not giving away any tells.

Rampage's first poker vlog was literally the 3rd or 4th time he ever played live poker.

Considering how short his poker career has been it's quite remarkable that he's even playing mid-stakes and has a bracelet.

His work ethic has also been quite incredible (playing poker, putting out 3 vlogs a week while working etc). He will likely go far in life.

If Rampage doesn't get better at folding on the river, his career is going to be short.

No point in him calling them sheep, when in a little over 24 hours he will be a sheep also, unless he leaves town. lol

I'm not very smart: is this because of the mask mandate, destroying the poker vlogger industry in Las Vegas?

Also, I hope the casinos saved all that pexiglass.

Trooper is having himself a good last few months. 90 straight vlogs, and a pretty consistent winner in that time.

Trooper Thursday seems to be getting 2-3 tables weekly as well.

Now if it weren't for that darn tooth, he'd be living the high life.

Then, compare that to when he hangs out with other vloggers. He was really awkward around Marle and Spraggy, just like he was really awkward and anti-social at the vlogger game at the Bike a while back. I feel like he is keenly aware of his social status vis a vis other poker players and doesn't like the idea of being a small fish in a big pond.

But that's just me being an armchair psychologist.
I finally watched this and I thought Marle and Spraggy looked more awkward than he did. He was barely on video at all when they were being shown.

Looking at your cards before it is your turn to act, even at the lowest levels, is a bad habit. And if you get into the habit at the lowest levels, it will be a habit you carry over as you progress up.

And I call bullshit that Trooper is not giving away any tells.

They are to follow.
Alternative point of view -- we have masks that are incredible and undeniably effective - N95's. Medical professionals wear them to treat covid patients every day and stay protected. But, they are INCREDIBLY uncomfortable. F*cktards won't even wear a simple cloth mask; there is no way on earth these people (and, likely, many "liberals") would wear an N95 on a regular basis. So, government does what it can, and tries to get people to at least wear SOME SORT OF face covering which, while nowhere near as effective as an N95, may do some good. Or, maybe the government does it just to control you. Who knows . . .

You trooper lovers really make me feel good about myself. Maybe that's why I follow this thread and watch his videos.

I guess I'm "living the high life" and don't know it.

Hey, guys. I've been out of the poker scene for over a decade, but I recently have gotten back into playing live $1/2 NLHE in Texas, where they also frequently have PLO bomb pots. I've been doing well and decided that it'd be fun to start a vlog.

I'm new to vlogging, and I've definitely got some learning to do on the production side of things, but looking to learn & improve on that front. If you like what you see, I'd really appreciate any subscribes! I'm looking to both play and publish regularly.

Here's a link to my most recent vlog...

There have to be better gimmicks than pretending to be a poker vlogger's fanboy with his lips firmly on the vlogger's butt.
