Back before Bravo was in every casino, I had one friend would would sit in the 10/20 Limit games at Borgata -- play maybe an orbit, and then sit out and go do other things in the casino. All basically to keep his Borgata Black Label at the time, and get free Red Bull. lol (which I guess you only got as Black Label?)

Guess the days of gaming the comps/hours played as a poker player are long gone.

Nice start with the Vlogs Whey. As someone mentioned, I think a poker room review would be a huge hit. I remember PA attempting something similar but he worked off his phone and the quality just wasn't there.

He then played to 1:20am, which is pretty much exactly when he said he planned to quit. (Of course, with his penchant for taking breaks, that only amounted to 3.6 hours at the table.) Accordingly, there is absolutely no indication whatsoever that Trooper quit simply to book a win.

Now I do agree with you that it is ridiculous for Trooper to set a goal of playing 100 hours of poker in two weeks and then only manage to put in 3.6 hours on the third day of that challenge. But that is an entirely different issue from your assigning a specific motive to why he only put in 3.6 hours when there is absolutely no indication that what you have assumed has any basis whatsoever. In fact, given that Trooper stated before the session how long he was going to play, and the fact that he spent almost that exact amount of time at the table (with breaks included), added to the fact that it was 1:20am when he left, that pretty much shoots down in flames your entire "theory."
This thread needs to ban this bs.... Who gives a **** seriously?

AC, huh?

From 2012 through 2015 I spent close to a month out of every year at the Borgata's, in their $1-2 games. Believe me, guys were 'disappearing' all the time.

Pretty much all the regs had Black Label cards, and pretty much all of them would leave their chips on the table for up to one hour and fifteen minutes to take advantage of the 10 comp dollars for two dining/drinking perks at the Amphora lounge or the buffet.

In addition to that, some of the older regs would get seated, play an orbit or so, and then leave the table to go chat with their friends at other tables. At the peak hours, it could take more than 30 minutes to get in a game, and nobody wanted to get back on the list if they could avoid it.

My experience of Bellagio is not that much different. People are leaving all the time, to grab a snack, shoot the breeze, or w/e.

I'm not saying it's optimal, but going off on Tim Trooper for doing what a ton of other players do is just plain and simply unwarranted.

I'll take the over all day. It's already been close to 2 months, and I don't think we've heard anything critical toward the new vloggers at all.

Sorry, but this comment serves absolutely ZERO purpose other than a lame attempt to stir up drama. Nobody is turning on the other vloggers despite how badly you wish they would. The only "obsessive" people I see in this thread is you and DC2LV, who writes novels(that nobody reads) every time he perceives a slight against his boy.

In all fairness to Trooper, playing marathon sessions is purely a function of age.

When I was 21 I could play for 24 hours straight no problem, now at 32 I can barely play for 8 hours straight without either dying of boredom, or being mentally tired from focusing.

Although at 1/2, there should be a decent amount of auto-piloting in standard spots.

I give Trooper a 50% chance of completing his goal, as he needs to cut back on vlogs to make it happen.

Hilarious how he always talks about Organic this or healthy that but Huffs down Greasy Pizza all the time, not to mention, I am guessing drinking 50 oz of coffee a day is not too healthy either. lol

He can't even stay at the table for an hour before getting up and leaving the table.
Complaining and dodging poker. The two best things the fella is good at.

He says he plans to get there early to play tomorrow and put in a lot of hours.

I bet tomorrow he is running behind all day, doesn't get to the strip until 6pm and is done by 1am.

I like those odds. Who is taking the bets? I got 100 Grand on he doesn't complete his goal. I'll even pay 10% vig.

I would take some action that he does, assuming he is still reading this thread and wants to prove you guys wrong. However, it sure doesn't look good right now I will admit.

I've been a supporter of Trooper for awhile now, and I still am, but I think that the only thing that keeps Troop hanging on to playing poker as a professional is his hatred for the Trolls of this thread and the YouTube comment section. Seems like Trooper sets some pretty lofty goals in a last ditch attempt to motivate himself towards something he doesn't want to focus on.

I can't say that I blame him, poker gets pretty boring when it is your only focus past the age of your mid-20's, for most people that is, or maybe its just me. Anyway, I think Trooper has a nice skill set (Video shooting, video editing, congeniality, life experience, etc.) that he can leverage in different areas, and I will continue to follow his videos into whatever arena they eventually lend themselves to.

Best,

100 hours in two weeks doesn't qualify as a lofty goal in my opinion.. 5 ten hour days a week with two full days off, should be pretty standard.

Yea but if you add in for all his 30 min+ breaks to walk down the strip or across the strip to get coffee or food then its like 12-13 hour days and still has to shoot video, edit and upload. Not possible.

After reevaluating my earlier chances at 50% I'm going to go back and say 15% is more likely. Too much fooling around daily and not actually playing.
