Okinawa and Hokkaido are kind of the Japanese equivalents of Hawaii and Alaska, in that they were both added to Japan last and are tropical and Arctic respectively. Though they're not as far away as Hawaii/Alaska and Hokkaido isn't as arctic as Alaska.

We are fast forwarding to March now. His Vegas trip took place back in December 2020. Hiroki visits Yokosawa and wakes him up saying "I want to eat McDonalds for breakfast!" Then Hiroki takes him to the airport. Yokosawa says he doesn't know where they are going. Hiroki tells him the plan for today is to play in tourneys in Okinawa and Hokkaido and to get back to Tokyo within 24 hrs. Hiroki notes that if Yokosawa does well in the tourneys then he might not be able to make it back in time and jokingly tells him to try to lose.

They arrive in Okinawa. They started at 4pm in Tokyo. It's 7pm in Okinawa. Hiroki says they have a red eye to catch to get to Hokkaido. Yokosawa wants to get something to eat but Hiroki says they don't have enough time. They call the casino and ask when the tourney will start and they have enough time, so they stop to eat at an Okinawa style pork restaurant.

They arrive at the amusement casino. Hiroki says they only have 50 minutes to play. Yokosawa flips with KQ and wins with quads. Yokosawa doesn't want to leave and they decide to take a morning flight to Hokkaido. He makes it to the final table but busts after getting short stacked when his flopped straight loses to a rivered full house. He finishes in 6th place out of 30.

They arrive at the hotel but can only sleep for 3 hrs before they need to catch their flight. They make a layaway in Fukuoka (a city in southern Japan) and have a meal. The recurring joke in the vlog is that Yokosawa loves to eat and is overweight.

They arrive in Hokkaido at noon and will play in an afternoon tourney. They need to catch the 3pm flight back to make it in time. It's cold in Hokkaido. They make their way to Sapporo (the biggest city in Hokkaido). They eat on the train on the way to Sapporo.

They arrive in Susukino (the entertainment/red light district of Sapporo). He arrives at the amusement casino and the tourney begins. Hiroki plays too. Yokosawa bluffs all in on the river with K high and loses. He reenters and jokes that it's his first entry. Hiroki reminds him about the flight.

They show a Hiroki hand. He gets it all in with a boat vs top pair. Yokosawa gets it all in with the nuts. Hiroki announces they have run out of time and won't be able to make it back within the 24 hr time limit. They decide that if he wins, then it still counts as within the rules. Yokosawa gets it all in with 77 on the final table bubble and loses. Hiroki gets it all in with T8 and loses. They got 9th and 10th out of 50 players.

Having missed the 24 hr deadline, they plan on taking the last flight back to Tokyo. They take a taxi to the train station and barely make it to the train to the airport. They speculate that the poker gods had them both lose right after one another at the right time so they could barely make it to the train to make the last flight home.

They arrive in Tokyo at 11:08pm. Their 24 hr plan ended up being a 31 hr plan. They talk about how the plan was worth it even though they failed and met a lot of great people and how the play styles were different in both areas. He sums it up as poker is a great people game and Hiroki makes fun of how cliched his sum up of their trip was. The vlog ends as Yokosawa goes to the bathroom.

No updates on his amusement casino. It was supposed to open last month. Japan has barely started doing vaccinations and they are saying the "4th wave" of COVID is hitting now so that may be a factor. This one was more of a lifestyle vlog than a gambling vlog since they didn't do any gambling.
I watched the clip before I came here, most of it at least.

This is what I thought I watched:

Camera man went into the tiny room of Yokosawa and surprised him while he was literally still in bed. Some exchange took place and apparently the camera man has a key.

Woke him up and an egg McMuffin showed up on the screen.

Something about Okinawa in English, maybe reference to Kill Bill?

He was excited about some restaurant, where he gets to take his mask off?

Then he played some tourney, and right before he shoved, he showed a hole cam footage? Not sure what that's about, does he always carry around a camera for the hole cam?

Flops a K, runner runner quads against 7's, and some woman was super excited in the background.

Then it lost me.

they wouldn't be calling without doing that first

calling to chat is a few steps down the line and i don't believe it for one second because it's always preceded by linkedin/email so I doubt that's actually happening - or at least not how it's being portrayed

The way it's portrayed is that Hiroki is like Yokosawa's producer and he even has a spare key to Yokosawa's apartment. So he decided to surprise Yokosawa by barging into his apartment in the morning and told him that they were going to do a 24hr trip across Japan to play poker.

I'm assuming that this is all acting for the vlog and Yokosawa knows in advance about their plans. But who knows.

BK's Linkedin

BK's linkedin page shows only ~30 months of work in the field in nearly 6 years. I'm no expert on how Lougheed and SpaceX recruit, but I doubt a 5 month gig, a 10 month gig, and a 15 month gig over 6 years really gets their panties wet.

Don't forget his 5 month gig as a General Service Technician at Tire Kingdom. That is the kind of icing on the cake that Space X is looking for.

BK is the worst kind of liar because all of his lies are formed under the premise that everyone reading it is dumber than he is.

Space X and Lockheed Martin, skipping their entire corporate recruiting process and going around all of the huge corporate recruiting agencies that they are affiliated with like Robert Half Technology to contact this unemployable smelly degen.

The most far fetched bullshit I've ever heard in my life.

It's not even entertaining seeing what he's going to come up with next. It's just super cringe.

He needs to just delete a bunch of that **** off his linkedin, makes him look bad. He's had 9 different jobs and only two of them lasted more than a year, just barely more than a year at that.

The best part are the comments he put on his IG where he reposted this. Guy thinks he’s living some type of great lifestyle. Dude no you’re an addict. Your addiction means you’re unable to hold down a job and has forced you to live in your car so you can feed this addiction.

I hope he gets help and stops feeding his gambling addiction and comes to this realization before he hits rock bottom. Guy should stop gambling and go with his parents back in Florida. Didn’t he say his dad is terminally ill? WTF is he still doing in Vegas unemployed gambling his last pennies away, he’s a junkie.

I do wonder about these people who always brag on social media that they're living the dream and how glamorous and baller their lifestyle is. I would put Trooper, JohnnyVibes and of course Bikeking in that group. You'll note that the actually successful poker players like Neeme, Owen, Boski don't do this.

Are they trying to convince other people or are they trying to convince themselves?

Wow, so now making $36k over a 10 month period playing mostly 5/T constitutes being a successful poker player? LoL

Thinking of costs why are you ubering? You should be walking, it’s what a 30 minute walk to Caesars? That and maybe a monthly bus pass. Isn’t the reason for getting an apartment close to the strip was to be able to walk to rooms? I’d also go check out the GN room downtown, you may like it. I’d take the bus for that one, as that’s not exactly a fun walk.

I would definitely get out to more rooms, I’d imagine when they have a game running that Sahara room is likely a good option.

PMAN is just completely screwing up in all areas. I want to keep my mouth shut and just enjoy the ride but I just can't.

It's a 7 minute walk to Sahara, 20 minutes to Encore (which will reopen for cash soon), 26 minutes to Wynn, 30 minutes to Venetian and under 40 minutes to Caesars.

You are paying a premium to live on the strip. Paying for an uber in order to "grind" low stakes for 2 to 4 hours has got to be one of the dumbest ideas we've ever seen from any vlogger ever.

BTW, you are skinny now because you are young. Eating the way you do and living the poker lifestyle means you will inevitably get fat. The walking will do you a lot of good. It's free exercise.

Pman just needs sources of income outside of poker. Then the shorter sessions would be fine. It is really hard for a lot of people to get those hours in. At least if you work even a crappy job you know getting those hours in will lead to more income. In poker you can put in extra hours, and be on the wrong side of variance and feel like you’re getting punished for trying. And it’s tempting to leave when you’re winning because it feels rewarding to do that.

I enjoyed the latest video.

I guess this is the honeymoon period that was mentioned. Trooper could put in a 4 hour sessions each day, work a full time job, and post an edited vlog every day and Steve would still say he's lazy. Pman is in Vegas for several weeks and "grinds" the equivalent of less than 1 full session of live cash and Steve is acting like everything is fine.

Aren't people normally at their highest motivation when they first start? It feels like pman threw in the towel before this even started. He's got money to get him through and in the back of the mind must think he can't possibly succeed at poker so he hasn't even given it a good shot.
