SouthPoint is really a good property. They did not go for the plexiglass, have 5 max with masks.

Easy parking, easy access, far south on the Strip.

I don't stay there, but the rooms are all good-sized (500 s.f.) and competitively priced always. The casino is pretty big. Food service is not gourmet, but that is not their market ... think Steak n Shake, decent Deli, generic Oyster Bar, generic coffee shop, generic Italian.

How are they dealing with people walking?

I feel almost like they should have mandatory table breaks like every other hour, like a tournament or something.

Imagine 2-3 people walking while playing 5 handed, or even more than 1 for two minutes.

I've only played there twice in the Age of CoVid, for about 90 minutes each time. Fwiw, both sessions were good, tables were social, lots of joking among the players, and pretty loose play also. (I have not tried anywhere with "the plexiglass experience", but I think it may segment the market for recreational players. A couple of recs at my tables remarked it was not enjoyable. Keep in mind SouthPoint spreads primarily $1-2.)

Did not experience a problem with players walking. It happened, but the restrooms are pretty close, and we played 4 handed until the player returned. Not an excessive time period, say 8 minutes tops. Keep in mind you are already playing short-handed, adjusting from 5 handed to 4 handed for a couple of hands is not tough.

I do not know how long until a walker gets picked up.

I did not experience 2 walkers concurrently. I expect that if 3 walked, the remaining 2 would call the floor for re-seating. I think the floor staff is pretty good, and would address those sort of issues. (They have a posted policy of like 2 minutes (?) if they call you for a table and you don't answer. So, they are aware of the challenges of short-handed tables. )

Fwiw, I've decided to forego live poker however, as Nevada has a huge issue with Rt and is the WORST State among 50, so there must be a lot of spreading going on in Nevada-heavy places like casinos to so skew the rate of transmission. (Not debating it's a fact or arguing causation, just that I think the probability that something Nevada specific weighs against going to casinos for any prolonged period, like playing poker.)

RDP now sponsored by ACR. Feel like this is gonna end badly for him. He's too degen to be a full time pro IDK.

How does he handle a downswing though?

Give me your thoughts on the QQ hand...

you played it perfectly. He had AA, KK, or AK, all of which you are behind. If he had JJ there, I'd be stunned, and still wouldn't believe it even if he showed. If so, he earned the pot.

I actually bought one. They look good and more comfortable than basic masks.

From his podcast, he’s basically said he’s not willing to play live poker under current conditions. I believe he’s playing the WSOP online events, so maybe we’ll get some content from that (though I personally have no interest in watching an online poker vlog).

Is this a joke?

They are paying him money to play on their site...it is basically one big freeroll for him, how could it end badly?

Also I've watched the majority of his videos and he really is not a degenerate...he's mentioned before he doesn't even know how to play baccarat or blackjack... Joey the Mush is the actual degen there.

Agree that most online vlogs are horrible.

Neeme’s were particularly bad.

The only online one I will watch is Boski’s.

His edit job is really good and it makes them watchable..

Thanks for the post and sorry for the late response. Not as bad as I suspected but bad enough. Sadly I think I will be foregoing live poker play until things get better and postponing any trips to Vegas as wearing a mask in a casino and dealing with all this doesn’t seem like fun.

Surprised he didn't go Allin on these instead of 50 or whatever it was he had. They must have huge mark up and surely an easy sale right now

I suggest that you go through your thought process off camera for the hands you're reviewing, maybe put it on paper first to recheck if it even makes sense?

in the hand where you have a nut flush you convey that it's important to balance it with your bare A bluffs, note that it's better to lead rivers with A high but then check? with no explanation why all of a sudden you decided to deviate

in another hand you spend some time pondering whether K9 can backdoor a straight on a J high board (it can) ultimately concluding that it can't

there's no reason for stuff like that to be present in the final cut

hope this helps. gl in your challenge!

Hey thanks for the suggestion. Yeah I'm aware a lot of my videos (in the past, this was the first in 2.5 years) were very bare bone, no edits, just 1 shot take without prep. And clearly it shows in the video as I get lost in my rambles. Reading this makes me want to do the YT channel justice, and a little better. I'll try.

IIRC, I think two thoughts occurred to me while talking it over, an epiphany during the HH review. My first notion was to lead the A5hh because if we have just 1 heart, we might end up losing on rivers to baby flushes and random two pairs/sets. And we didn't set this up to just lose like this. ---->

Then It occurred to me, wait sets/two pairs generally wouldn't raise turn. So he either has baby flush now or K heart blocker. Once I remove the sets/two pairs from his range, I figured it was better to check since he's way more likely to show up with K heart than baby flush (which generally wouldn't raise from a typical fish villain).

Therefore the check came. I assume this was my thought process. But sometimes I stumble on my words, since I don't prep and at times, seem autistic. Hope this cleared up the HH.

As for the straight, let's not speak of that.

Hopefully for everyone sake, the next video will be much more refined. Ty hope to clear this challenge. Since I've failed most of my insane challenges in the past.

Edit - this is the thing that messed me up. But what if he raised me on the turn with Kh. Then with the Ah I essentially can hero call because he's not going to use Kh + top set or 2 pair as a bluff that often. So like naked Kh. Maybe I could flat.
