Why does Trooper deserved to be staked when he can't beat 1/2?

Has Marle shown she can beat the lower limits? All her talk seems rather weak

Not super proud of that moment haha... I misinterpreted one of pocket_zeros comments and lashed out. But we've already mended fences, so, moving on...

Anyone with a good eye for composition and a good attitude can in theory become a professional cinematographer. It all comes down to how much you want to put into it, and luck. You don't need formal education, you start as an assist, sponge up information, meet people, maybe eventually get an opportunity. Like most things.

And the luck part is simply stumbling your way into a community that will regularly hire you, for a long long time. That's the tricky part.

My concern for Trooper would be that he's up there in age, and camera assistants are (generally speaking) younger. In other words it'd be a late start, so he wouldn't have the easiest go I'd imagine.

In general when I watch these vlogs (particularly Vibes and Neeme, and sometimes Boski) I think these guys have some serious skills when it comes to shooting and editing, considering the amount of footage they gather and process. They're in the digital world though, which I don't know a whole lot about (I'm in broadcast). I don't know how much money there is there, and/or what kinds of opportunities there would be in terms of a serious, steady, reliable income. I'm very grateful for the content though! I'll be in Vegas this week and these vlogs get the blood pumping in anticipation. Ha

In theory, yes he can make it as whatever he wants with hard work and dedication but based on poker supposedly being one of his main sources of income and he cannot be bothered to study, improve, minimize losses, how is he going to break into a field with kids 20 years his junior and 20x more passion for the profession?
DoP is not just talent, it's working your way up being a PA, camera asst, focus puller, etc... all while constantly studying your craft and working for free on other people's projects just so you can get some experience behind the camera and just as importantly, networking.

Is it just something about this thread or are there really that many people out there that do not understand the power of the poontang?

Never underestimate how much money lonely guys with a hero complex will spend to try and get a woman. It's the most -EV long play game there is, but some dudes never learn.

Thank you for the answers about film crew. It sounds like you're saying "not really" which is sad because I think Trooper has an artistic eye and an ear for music and is a natural at filming and editing. But he also might have started out terrible and put in a lot of work and hours studying how to be good at it.

5 South's phrasing of "20 years his junior and 20x more passion" reminds me of what most people are going up against when they play poker.

Trooper Millionaire Maker video. He said "it's intense" cool to see trooper play some MTT's not STT or cash games. See how deep he gets in this tournament soon.

Marles is smart, funny, and pretty. But based on her having a dgaf attitude about her public appearance sometimes (like no makeup or hairstyle on LATB and in some of the sessions presenting/interviewing in Montenegro when it was really hot) I think she's most likely from a very rich or connected family and less likely to be where she is as a result of being a trophy girlfriend. I'm all for the no-makeup look but I don't think it's something golddiggers do.

Yeah having a dad move you to Vegas and him busting his roll playing LHE just screams “very rich and connected”

It's just... I could understand 1/2 or 2/5 but for the stakes she is playing and probably getting destroyed in?

Wonder what the arrangement is

He is on to something. I think the "money already spent" causes Trooper to shark up in these tourneys.

He is doing heaps for himself "walking the walk".

What part of don't reveal vloggers' tourney results until they've had a chance to release their own vlogs did you not understand? And how f'n stupid do you have to be to quote a poster who properly used spoil tags and then just restate the results without using them yourself?

^^^ I lived in MB (23rd & Collins) for 5 years and must say, you have got to be the grumpiest dude in South Beach. Take a step outside, enjoy some topless models basking in the sunlight and re-center your Chi mang.
