trooper loses for the same reason most of u lose, and i make $45k a year in 1-2 when most of u have to play 2-5 to do it. he always buys in for the maximum when he sits, i buy in for $40 and in 4-5 hours ill have 300-500 in front of me, either thru winnings or addons later. plus i never straddle and the rest of u do. easy game to fix if it wasnt for your ego

Trooper is basically just a level 1 player. He only looks at his hand, and if it's strong, he goes nuts. He occasionally thinks about what other players might have, but mostly he just goes off the strength of his own hand. If he has aces, he'll just keep shoveling money in, even if the flop comes something scary like TJQ, and then when he's beat he'll bemoan his bad luck.

His other problem is as foatie noted, he gets too emotional. He makes plays to try to get back at people who have wronged him in some way. That and he also tries way too hard to play 'tricky', which 1/2 players, for the most part, just aren't doing.

1/2 in general can be beaten with just good, disciplined ABC poker. Get out when people are showing strength because they usually have it, and take people to valuetown when you have it. The fact that Trooper still hasn't realized this is after all this time is mind boggling.

That's why you are the nut low for any game you sit in. Short stacker who doesn't straddle.

By your logic, all fat people are mean and bitter. lol, is this what people really think out there? One would think how a skinny person could ever be an ***hole.

I only addressed Deeb and his actions. You took the "all fat people" route.

Nice try

people who straddle are fools, how can u beat a game when u lose $8 per orbit, while everyone else loses $3 per orbit while they wait for good cards. anyway im good for the game because im not a nit. i dont do any of the things a nit does thats bad for the game.

1. a nit never goes on tilt. i do quite often once im stuck.

2. a nit asks for a setup often or a deck change or a wash. i never do.

3. a nit prefers 9 players to 6. not me, i get bored folding so much with 9. id prefer 6.

4. a nit constantly asks for rake reductions. not me. it draws attention to u as caring about it too much.

5. a nit asks for the floor to back up his time when hes logged out for 3 minutes. not me, i could care less if my comp balance is $28.42 or $28.36 God i bet the floor finds doing this annoying for such tiny numbers.

6. a nit switches chairs and uses the same chair because hes not comfortable sitting in a chair someone else sit in. so petty.

7. a nit constantly asks to break the game, no point in this until u get down to 4 people and u cant chop no more.

8. a nit leaves when he doubles up. not me, i might still be stuck and dammit if ill leave. ill wait til i give back 1% of my roll like say $190 or whatever. otherwise u cant ever hit a big score.

9. a nit watches TV on his phone. and wears headphones and hoodies so he cant hear u or see u. not me, all i do is quietly play bejeweled and can follow the action better than the others not playing bejeweled.

and once im stuck about $300 or so ill straddle every hand im not in the blinds. $4, then $5, then $6, up to half my stack. of course im either usually even or broke before i get the straddle up to $20. or else i win a big pot and shut it back off.

So every time you see a fat ***hole, you think he is an ***hole because he is fat?? Wow, that is a simplistic view on life. Again, what about a skinny good looking ***hole? What do they have to be bitter about?

My point is an ***hole is an ***hole and it is something that ingrained in them from circumstances early in life or they have altered brain chemistry. Looks usually have little to do with it.

Ive never seen somebody ask for a set-up at a no limit table. I think those days are gone when all the limit nits quit poker.

Only happens at 1/2 or 1/3.

May have seen it once or twice at that level, but can't remember. In any case, set-ups are very rare these days where in the hay day of limit poker, you could count a a few per night.

I think the key is auto shufflers, any room with those doesn't really do set ups unless the decks are too marked up from the shufflers. At least where I played.

But before those you had tards asking for set ups all the time to try and change their luck.

Sevencard, a nit never tilts , you're trolling right? You can't be this clueless considering you've been here since 2007 and have over 2500 posts. You make 45k a year playing poker yet you never move up to atleast 2/5 and you're still short buying 1/2, i don't think it is but if actually true that certainly proves you're not a nit LOL. Judging by just your last 2 posts and the way you apparently think bout things/the game it's not surprising you're still playing 1/2

I'm sure the IRS couldn't care less about a marginal earner like Tony skating taxes. But it would serve him right if he someday found his way on to its radar. Despite repeated warnings not to post his purported annual earnings on public forums, he just can never resist. His ego forces him to prove to a bunch of strangers what a massive winner he is compared to the rest of us.

You don't make 45k per year
You made 45 k in some random year
You've had tons of years you made way less

You also play way more per year than good players who make 45k in a year

Trooper sucks at poker
Makes you look like Phil ivey

I’m sure the fish making $45k a month is beside himself with jealousy of the shortstacking weirdo who made 45k in his absolute best year ever and can’t afford health insurance.

Is it just me or is it strange that Tim eats his food with one hand in his hoodie pocket? I can't decide if this is just me looking for something to be annoyed with today or is actually weird.
