Glad to see Marbles is getting out there to interact with us disgusting fans. I hope it is not too much for her to handle so that she couldn't put out a vlog for the first time in two months. Maybe she can get up on a little stage and do one of her "routines" for us.

Nobody knows. BK claims that there was some form of bank fraud and all the money in his account got stolen. Not too believable because he got none of his money back, and any FDIC insured bank would be able to investigate and return the money if it was indeed stolen/fraud.

Many on here believe he took a shot playing higher stakes poker or lost it in the pit.

Could be one of history's unsolved mysteries...

Disagree strongly. One of the barriers to people getting into poker is lack of confidence. It can seem very intimidating to get involved and if everytime you play you get crushed you are very unlikely to want to keep playing. To the extent poker vlogs help people feel a little more empowered and get them to look into resources that will give them a certain baseline skill level they are much more likely to enjoy themselves and become consistent players which is great for the overall poker economy. Yes getting a complete fish at your table is great, but overall a onetime fish is a lot less valuable to the poker economy than a slightly losing player who has a clue and has winning nights and losing nights because he keeps playing.

This shouldn’t matter at all, but Johnnie’s voice annoys me to the point I can’t make it through his videos.

naw, you can blame those pros who couldn't make money anymore after Black Friday or got burned out playing tournaments once their run good ended for starting all those poker training sites. These meet up games are nothing but a drop of water in the Mississippi. If anything, they bring the rec players who may only play a few times a month/year out to the poker room.

“Terrible for poker in general” is a pretty rich use of hyperbole.

Hot take: You will not notice a difference in poker games based upon players going to MUGs and then hearing about Poker Vlogs and then finding out about training sites and then signing up for training and then putting in a lot of work and then improving their games.

If you disagree with that then have at it.

Yep. Having access to information is one thing. Having the time, dedication and ability to digest and be able to effectively utilize that information is something else entirely.

I can only imagine all the boyfriend hopefuls that will show up at her meetup game. She's definitely going to earn any money she makes at that thing.

Unselfaware poker players and their cringe table talk has flipped into becoming one of my favorite comedic joys. I would love to be a dealer in Marle's MUG.

Looks like just playing some free online poker and trying to promote his bs.

I’m sure it’s not Kelly. Kelly was not afraid to show her face on camera and this person clearly feels differently about that. Kelly was with Trooper for a VERY short time. Finally, this person has a very different, deeper voice and has a different vibe. Kelly has a very distinct laugh and she laughed all the time and always seems so happy. I haven’t heard this gf/wife laugh yet; she seems more subdued.

I understand, poker table discussions in late 1999 regarding the coming Y2K arrival were comedic gold. None had a clue about programming, but all were exchanging solemn, knowing statements and looks.

Those folks do not post online any better either.

Sounds like the same people who were talked about in The most absurd poker thinking you've heard in live poker thread.

Missed that thread. I probably was too busy studying pattern mapping. https://www.pocketfives.com/forums/t...-for-yourself/

I figured out how Brad Owen is crushing the YouTube algorithm and showing up in the recommended videos everywhere. It can be summed up in one word:

Yeah, I know all of that (but thanks for the free lecture, pops). I’m about the same age as Trooper. I’m not jealous at all of Trooper’s life. But god bless him if he’s happy living that way.

I’m just astounded that a man who has no job and continually hemorrhages money at the poker tables is able to afford new gadgets and eat out all the time with seemingly no care in the world. It just doesn’t make sense.

Btw, same goes for Boski. He lives pretty high on the hog for a man that doesn’t seem to win much in tournaments. But he did make a nice amount of money in his online days so maybe he saved that and is living off of that.

The only poker vloggers that seem to making money from their day to day poker play seem to be Neeme and Jaman. They are the only consistent winning players from what I have seen.
