ohh, I thought they were referring to a specific person. Like that is somebody's known online poker name or something.

I was thinking 10-20NL with $2500 starting stacks so neither person can get completely stacked on one hand. But there would need to be a rule that after losing the first $2500 the other $2500 is required to be put in play. Or 5 1K HU SNGs. There’s so many different ways this could be done. I will step up if Trooper will agree (which I think he will since he thought I was bad when we played at the Rio). If nothing else it’ll be entertaining and will make the bastard sweat

I’ve got $100 for any person that can facilitate this actually happening. I think it would be important to get commentary too to really up the production value. I may be wrong, but i think there’s a lot of people who wouldn’t mind seeing Trooper lose it all in a HU match live on YouTube or Twitch

I just watched a whole troop vlog waiting for the rant, but it appears I watched the wrong episode. God damn it. He won $8 in the one I saw

This seems like terrible advice. IMO, Trooper is much better at vlogging than he is at poker. He’d be better off quitting poker and changing the focus of his vlog than he would be quitting the vlog to concentrate on poker. It’s also just a much more satisfying career in general.

It was already clarified just a few posts ago that he never said HU4ROLZ:

Credit for him living in a nice complex and getting a new ride but his fellow vloggers are driving Teslas not Kias or Hyundais.

Bottom line is he'd be more likable if he'd admit how bad trolls bother him and took the high road of reality more often. At least the rants are good for a minor chuckle every now and then.

But you obviously don't read the rules in the OP. Bye, you're exiled from this thread.

Actually, it didn't.

A dick swinging match with only one participant isn't much to see.

I'm gonna start telling everyone in the thread how I'm kicking Chuck Norris's ass. Since there is no chance he comes here to call me out on it I'll be worshipped and adored, right?

Ima go kick Chuck's ass some more.

Not sure what's so cringe about the MUGs?

It looks like Brad/Andrew/Kraut/Trooper all enjoy being part of them, and obviously do ok out of it.

The tone ITT seemed to revert to the norm rather quickly.

I'd go careful, as it's Chuck, and you never know where he's going to show up

I think Brad and Andrew seem like great guys but I can’t inagine running down to a local card room and being giddy about playing with them. “Hey guys super long waiting list tonight but I get to see Brad Owens and maybe play with him!”

So no, I don’t get it either.

Losing players don’t play for the same reasons you do. Anything that increases the social element of poker is a great thing.

If they were at a local card room, and I had no other plans, I'd go and play. Games will surely be good, and who doesn't like drinking and gambling in good games? Not likely to happen, so a moot point.

Not understanding the appeal is perfectly reasonable, as everyone enjoys different things. However, I don't see what's 'cringe' about them.

You mean "nobody goes there because it's too crowded".

Seems like a successful marketing push perhaps. DUCY ?

There's a huge difference in the action at a Neeme/Owen vs Trooper Thursday MUG. Neeme's games look like the juicy splash around games that you wanna be in if you are a strong player. The TT games look like an extension of a mid afternoon weekday game that you'll see at the C-Level Vegas poker rooms.

Let me slow it down for you - I didn’t say “no one goes there” but was implying that I’d never do it and that I think it’s odd that so many seem fired up to play with guys like that for a few rounds.

Different strokes I guess, but to me it’s cringy yes, and akin to the type people who take selfies with “pros” at the WSOP.

strictly troopers game,he just seems out of place, not funny, etc

I mean I have no doubts he started vlogging because he had no friends and at least he could talk to the camera

I don’t care much about playing with Brad and Andrew, but if I knew my card room that normally got one table of 2/5 running was instead going to have 6-10 tables of 2/5 (filled with recreational players who normally play lower stakes), I’d be pretty happy to go to a MUG.

Ok, I can see what you mean. I just get the impression that Tim is only really comfortable around people that he knows, but he tries to put an effort in with anybody that turns up.

If I had nothing else going on, I might pop along for a couple hours on a Thursday, but it's not something I'd specifically go out of my way for.

I've never been to one of Brad & Andrews, or Troopers, and I spend a month in Vegas every summer during the WSOP.

Brad made a comment to someone suggesting that the competition at his games was tougher than that person thought because the people showing up tend to be more serious than the players that don’t watch his vlogs. His videos show almost nothing but poker hands so they’re basically free training videos. But he made that comment over a year ago.

You might classify the Westgate Poker room as C-Level. Since the game starts at 2pm on Thursdays, that could qualify as a mid afternoon weekday game.

I would say your post is 100% factually correct. Good job.
