Amazing series by johnnie . Keeping the dream alive for the low limit grinders.

More stuff like that and heís bound to grow much faster.

Also, should mix in some other life stuff like DJ scene or shows etc

Neeme has made a decent living playing live cash mainly in Las Vegas for many years now. So he's that good.

thanks for the reply.. while i am aware of that i have a hard time putting this kind of skill level into perspective in comparison to lets say a zoom player on stars.. what stakes do you think this is comparable to?

All of these vloggers, including myself (Mr Bill Poker), have the opportunity to make ourselves look good or bad depending on the content we want to share. I think the best vlogs show the interesting hands whether played well or poorly. But given that, "interesting hands" are the vast MINORITY of the hands that get played! If a vlog has 10 hands on it, you are possibly seeing only 1% of the hands played that week!! How well the player plays in the "routine" hands is rarely shown, because it doesn't make for a good video, but has much more to do with whether that player is successful or not. I have played with both Andrew and Brad on a number of occasions, and it seems to me that they are both very solid winning players.

I agree. However, for someone like me that has my family, job, kids activities, work travel but also plays roughly 3 times a week without good quality vlog equipment... it's sometimes hard to get good hands on video and I am also one that finds it hard to remember hands while I am taking notes!
Interesting hands I think are less about the actual hand.. and more about the environment, the style of play and line that happens during the hand with the players...
always interesting to see how things play out at various types of cash and tournament games!

There is no easy way to assess this. Online zoom and live require different but overlapping skill sets. Because of the structure of zoom a gto optimal approach is probably best. However in mid stakes live games where you play against the same players and can build reads being able to play exploitatively against a variety of player types becomes more important. In my opinion the best poker players are very profitable in at least one game type (say mid live stakes) and are smart enough to maximize their expectation by focusing on those games as opposed to ones where they are not profitable.

The last thing the game needs is a zoom player on Stars vlogging. We already have vast numbers of streamers to watch to learn about the online poker life. The great thing about the vloggers is the peak they give into the life of a professional or serious recreational cash game or tournament player.

If you want to make money at this game and sustain a living long term, you should be playing like Johnny Vibes, Brad Owen, and Andrew Neeme. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

Andrew and Brad had 22 tables going at high point of their Maryland meetup. I find that pretty incredible, good for them.

It's funny, whenever I'm at MD Live, the table talked from the 21-27 crowd is almost all poker vlogger talk. Congrats to those guys for a successful MUG.

Stu,

Letís give them the benefit of the doubt and say they donít YoutTube often and thought a thumbs down as like saying ďthis vlog makes me sad and I feel bad for Tim, thumbs down to his tragedy and lossĒ

My mom would think that what thumbs down means on YouTube

Las Vegas Poker Player Vlogs

How about we just assume itís a lot of the same people who for years log on daily to try and burn Tim to the ground- just click his thumbs down, and probably havenít watched a video in a very long time? Guessing Iím more right than you Nate

I would say its the people that see his video and auto downvote it without watching and move on. Similar to the fans who thumbs up a vid before watching.

Honestly the Vlogs have been pretty much the same for awhile now, but I think you get my point?

I wonder how much each got paid for that appearance? Travel and board paid for plus a few grand each?

I have a love/hate relationship with live. You won't find many rooms in the country spreading more games or with more $$ on the tables, but mostly everyone is solid and waiting to pick off the local degenerates gambling off their paychecks on weekends.

The promos are pretty good there most of the time. I give the room an "A" overall.

Would love to know how lucrative this is getting for them- also is probably a reason we havenít seen them make a Winstar appearance- doubt they would allow filming, or any type of official MUG

Re: Las Vegas Poker Player Vlogs

You can’t fully appreciate how good these MUG’s are w/o being at one. When Andrew and Brad came to Seattle there were $1000 pots being played w $1 chips because that’s all that were left. If I were a live pro I would literally follow them around the country to play in them start to finish. That’s how lucrative I believe they are.
