Interesting, what % of the people you helped prosecute were employers, rather than workers ? Did you prosecute any businesses or employers who acted by unethical standards in the workplace ?
No businesses or any other outside entities. My office coordinated the investigation and resolution of allegations of fraud, waste, and abuse lodged against employees and non-Article III officers of the Federal Judiciary. I worked hand-in-hand with the FBI and AUSAs in those cases that led to criminal prosecution; e.g., for bribery, theft, procurement fraud, etc. It was the U.S. Attorney Offices that brought the charges.
All employees and judicial officers are subject to a Code of Conduct, violation of which could lead to dismissal and/or prosecution, depending on the specific violation. Simply lying to me during questioning about an allegation could constitute a federal offense under 18 U.S.C. §1001.
