I've only watched Marle's "poker boyfriend" episode and her appearance on Neeme"s blog, but I'm inclined to think her vlog is not for me. It is clear she wants to present herself as a comedian first and a poker player second. Her descriptions are so thoroughly infused with sarcasm and her poker thinking is often so strange that I found her difficult to follow.

Checked in on trooper for first time in awhile. He lost a large amount. TBH I think trooper is too focused on playing optimal when his opponents are probably playing far from it. Who knows what his definition of a "good game" is though. From his retelling of hands it seems like he calls off way too much. Think it might benefit Troop to work in some more folds.

Ive played a ton with Marle over the years & in her defense i've seen her be really kind with some people I consider to be lowlifes. I honestly just think the grind really stressed her out just like most of us who did that grind. I believe her to have a heart of gold so don't be fooled. And for the record trust me I am one of her biggest critics lol.

I thought Trooper bleeped it out or cut away quick before he cussed. I could be wrong though. However, I do know the big youtubers do bleep it because they know it can demonetize them.

Agree. He loses bigger in good games, so he must call down too much in those games. Since he gets stuck big early-on in those games, I bet once he notices it's a good game, his mentality must be that they're bluffing him until they prove otherwise.

A good game is any game that Trooper is playing in.

Fact: There's never been a "Great Game" (by his words) in the vlog that our Hero has won big in. Any of the $1000+ wins were just "whatever" and "business as usual" ....cause you know, he's supposed to "crush their souls" anyway.

Trooper is in his 40's now. If he hasn't made the right adjustments to beat those "good games" yet, I won't hold my breath.

Trooper doesn't take lessons he gives them.

Wouldn’t have blamed him for snapping that woman beating scumbags neck.

Lol chicks are crazy though reminds me of a story that an ex firearms cop in the uk told me when my work got him to put a training course on for us for personal safety.

When he was on duty got called to a domestic where a guy was beating the **** out of his partner On the front lawn, fully knocked her teeth out and he’s on top of her strangling her. His partner restrains the guy and the chick decides to stick her stilleto shoe straight in the cops head who is restraining her boyfriend who still has her front teeth in his knuckle.

Women turning on the guy who jumps in to defend them in a domestic incident is actually pretty common. I've witnessed it a couple of times and also heard similar from other people who have gotten involved or seen others getting involved.

Trooper found something to blame his Skateboard crash on, also the deck was stacked against him again.

Someone post the result please, I missed it, skipping around because I hate listening to his hand histories.

Good point.

Boski, tell your boy that next time after he has someone weakened with the choke, to switch to an arm bar or whatever to restrain someone til security or police show up. He wouldn't want the law interpreting a continued choke as deadly force if permanent damage happened to the bf.

Trooper got coolered in a set over set situation. I only watched the last few minutes of the video but he didn't say how much he lost in the hand or for the day but said it was his 2nd losing day in a row and he didn't feel like playing anymore.

funny hand. assuming $300 effective stacks.

both players flop sets with flush draws on board, and still have about 80-85% of their stack remaining by the river.....

Trooper down at least $600. Rebuy money already on the table and the set over set last hand of the session

I'll be honest and say that I enjoyed the reflection that he did in this vlog. I think it finally hit him that his vlog, and his life, have gotten old and boring. He needs a break, which he is finally taking, and a major reboot.

I hope he takes whatever time off that he needs and finds a way to change things up in a big way. The worst thing that he can do is take a week or two off and then go right back to his usual life, which I feel is what is coming this way based on his history.

I think I'll check in after a week or so and see if he makes some life changes. Even growing a beard would be a small change. He looks better when he's not clean shaven. Less like a spooked, chubby kid and more like an older adult.
I watched today's vlog to see what has changed with Trooper's vlog since his break from the vlog and his reflecting on life and the vlog. Answer: Nothing. Nothing at all.

Not sure if every vlog has been like today's but he's back to his same routine. Coffee, sell a hat, and play daytime low stakes poker. He had one cooler hand of set over set and the whole session is explained as the deck is out to get him. Of course there is no mention of any mistakes that probably happened prior to the set over set hand. Clearly he played perfect poker, even though he limped with a pair, flopped a set, and almost no money went in till the river. (Yes there were minimal bets but nothing major.)

No mention of final loss total so I assume it's bad.

Also, he found some conspiracy theory of a broken battery explaining his crash on the Boosted Board. Trooper is a skilled Boosted Board rider with hundreds of miles under his belt so he couldn't have been distracted with a camera in one hand and a coffee in another and simply fallen off the board. It must have been someone else's fault that he crashed.

Anyway, more blaming others for his faults (crashing and losing money at poker) and no changes at all from his pre-reflection video. This guy is 50+ years old and he still can't admit his life problems which is step one...even after taking a break and reflecting on things.

Someone please PM me when something new happens in his vlog...if it ever happens.

You can call this theory absurd. I'm thinking of this because of the psychological aspects of the game he provided in prior interviews. He has talked about deep rooted feeling of guilt that makes him intentionly lose. In fairness he was speaking about other form of gambling he used to partake in. Could it be spilling over to poker?

Psychology of Trooper - Part Deux

I like how Mr Ducks quotes himself so I did the same. I hope The OG had enough money for his date later.

Is it me or does Trooper also have massive downswings right before the holidays. Afterwards, he gets nostalgic and tells us sad stories about always moving on Christmas Day.

Hang in there OG. Here is a little pip me up message from a little known singer in a little known band.

This might be another case, I am not sure.
