Mandalay confirmed great low key spot for great 1/2 games. I spent a lot of time there when I first moved to Vegas. Light also has the best visual production of any nightclub in Vegas imo.

I don’t really care what Vibes winrate is. People throw around winrate numbers a lot and they depend so much on variance, opponents you play, etc. When I listen to him talk about hands he seems like a positive, humble guy and he is clearly a much better player than I am and that’s good enough for me.

Mandalay Bay does have really soft games in my experiences. The room seems to have a bad reputation on 2+2 because people complain about how the room used to be run and I think it still gets unfairly judged for that today. I know they took forever to stop using index cards to track comps.

It’s just a 1-2 NL room with a small number of games so the vloggers playing 2-5 or higher are unlikely to play there, especially with a $5+$2 rake. I don’t know how often PK plays there. Trooper boycotted the room. I don’t think Bike King played there. I don’t remember them ever running freerolls or any type of hours played promotions so maybe that hurts them too because other low stakes rooms often do that, although personally I’m not a fan of those. Seems like every 1-2 vlogger I’ve seen has tried a freeroll at one time or another.

Some tight regs might not like the variance that can come from playing the types of players that play at Mandalay Bay.

MB can be great when the right convention is there. It can also be a really frustrating place to head to and find the games to be crap only to have to walk their giant property to your car to head back up the strip to a place with a better game like a MGM grand or PH

Just looked at subs and Neeme is getting close to 100k and Brad is getting close to 50k.

New videos from the vloggers posting here (Boski also put up his latest video recently):

LOL GTFO

Have you already forgotten that you previously posted in this thread that you grind 1/2 for 9+ hours/day and you don't play 2/5 because there's no money to be made against nits?

You need to learn to keep your stories straight.

The sentence says 2/5 is full of degens, hence why I play it. It plays pretty much exactly like 1/2, just higher stakes. I play about 50 hrs a week. I also don't play before 7pm cus its full of nits.

You have to use the url of the image like i.imgur.com/l3LYWnm.png ... if it doesnt end in png, jpg, or other image file extension, you grabbed the wrong address.

We're witnessing the birth of the Golden Age of Poker Vlogging right now--

My current personal rankings, though I watch and enjoy them all:

#1 Boski - Hitting his stride with consistently funny content plus interesting hand history. Everyone who bothers to read this 2+2 thread should be subscribed to him. He's also the only real tournament specialist vlogger which makes him unique as well. I think Boski will keep improving and eventually get his follower count up near the other heavy hitters. I also personally appreciate his vlog lengths and post frequency.

#2 Neeme - Still the best overall for hand analysis, slick production style, and Neeme is a likable/relatable 'host'. Of all these guys, I can really credit Neeme for the most improvement in my play over the months and months watching him. I never signed up for any training sites and don't have many poker-playing friends IRL, so his vids really made me realize exactly *how* good players are thinking. Even though I understood most of the concepts already, the meta aspect of hearing the framework that a respected winning reg uses to parse through hands was so +EV for me it's unbelievable. The rise of Neeme is probably stiffening up $1/2 games across the country BTW. I'm stoked to see where he goes with the vlog in the future.

#3 Vibes - If anyone still isn't subscribed to him, you're leaving money on the table, this guy's vlogs are excellent, he goes lots of interesting places, and I feel like he's a little bit more forthcoming with strategy/thought process than some other vloggers. And say what you will but I think the world can always use more of the positivity that he's actively trying to put out there. His instagram is good too.

#4 - Owen - I feel like Brad is kind of putting out just kinda "meat and potatoes" content right now, but it's still enjoyable and consistently well done. Just because I'm ranking him under the others doesn't mean I don't watch and enjoy all these guys. Let's see Brad vlog his return to the dating scene.

I watched all of Neeme's recent vlog doing commentary on his first episode and really enjoyed it. It gave some nice insight into a major aspect of his life that we don't see just from him talking about poker hands (or going to bars). If he started doing this for every old episode, it would become tedious quickly, but I imagine this is obvious.

I also enjoyed his recent PLO episode as a change of pace. But I'm not sure how good Neeme is at PLO. I feel like I learn a lot from his NLHE episodes. But though I play almost no PLO, I find myself raising my eyebrows at several of his hands every time his describes a PLO session.

If Neeme's views have been declining, this may just be inherent to the long term viability of cash game vlogs.

Imagine if you favorite baseball team (or whatever your favorite sport it) played a random team every day, but without any sort of standings or playoffs or championship to play for. The actual action on the field, along with the athletic feats, in-game strategy, and personalities, would all be identical to what we experience in a baseball game now. But without the essential artificial structures of a league and a season and a championship, how long would this hold out attention.

This is basically what a cash game vlog is. Vloggers need to create this artificial structure to keep the episodes feeling fresh. That's why Trooper seemed so much more interesting during his Trooper across America trip, and why I haven't watched a single Trooper episode since he stopped his SNG challenge.

Neeme does seem like he has some good ideas for doing this. But I would suggest one more. Why not do an episode every so often where you concentrate on one strategic aspect of the game? Instead of describing just the big hands, why not describe every hand you played out of the big blind? Or every hand where you raised and face a 3-bet? Or every hand you played a against one specific player as you developed your read on him?

But great job in any case!

Solve for Why posted two more -very- short "trailers" to their channel without any actual new content.

I don't understand what they are doing here. If they were posting 10-minute excerpts from their paid content, it might be good advertisement. But these videos are way too short to get any sense of what they are advertising. And they just clutter up a channel that had a lot of really nice content during the WSOP.

I’ve started getting into JNandez’s training site. It’s really good stuff. I feel like just after watching a handful of videos, and combining that with general poker/NLHE knowledge, that I’m a favorite in average $5 BB PLO Games. But I definitely have a LONG way to go with my PLO game and I try to reinforce that when talking about PLO hands.

I mostly agree with what you’re saying about cash game vlogs. I think some people will continue to watch just based on poker education or general entertainment. But there needs to be some sort of overarching storyline in order to keep interest high. Thanks for your feedback. 👊🏼

May want to read this thread: https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/2...-team-1718140/

This quote being the most relevant: "This means that when you signed up for the Mastermind content expecting PLO strategy from Fernando, you were actually getting PLO strategy mostly from me, a $0.05$0.10 PLO hobbyist."

Advising Andrew Neeme to start attacking people in his vlogs might he be worst advice someone can give him, so it is not surprising it came from you.

One of the things so many people like about Neeme is that he comes across as a really good guy. I've had few email interactions with him as well as was in the room for a MUG here in AZ when he was there (I didn't know it was happening, so I wasn't there for the madness) and I have yet to see or hear someone complain about the way he treats anyone. It's just not who he is as a person. I think if he tried to change we'd all see right through it and that would greatly hurt his #s, as well as I am sure disappoint many of us, including himself.
