I saw his name was Tim and legit thought that was Trooper coming in to defend himself.

Plenty of guys in the affiliate marketing industry that I was in cashed out huge on Crypto. Lots of international companies had offers with the option to pay affiliates in Bitcoin as early as 2013. I remember going to a conference in 2014 when Bitcoin hit $700 and guys then we're talking about how rich they were getting when they bought in 2013 at ~$60 bucks. There's outliers out there, but there's a thousand times more bull****ters too. The types who bought $200 in ripple last year and talked all this "crypto guru" talk to their friends who have no idea how this works after the Bitcoin book became a hot topic.

Those of us who got out in December when the bubble peaked pre-BTC futures did very well Las Vegas Poker Player Vlogs even in January and Feb you could still get huge returns on investments from 14 through pre bubble. I did probably worse because I was super conservative and still made several thousand dollars off crypto

Weird that Troop is playing 2/5 as we enter the worst time of the year for poker.

You'd think he would have taken this on during the WSOP instead of dinking around in STTs.

Troop doesn't roll like that, He even went off for the extra $2 for Bellagio Starbucks instead of going across the street in 110 degree temperature with his hoodie on like normal.

Meh, I was still pro-STT plan. I think it made sense.

Not sure if Trooper is running well or is playing better in the 2/5 games compared to the smaller games. Or both.

The whole "feeling alive" thing from two vlogs ago sure sounds like gamblers high.

Trooper will make it before Boski will make it, but neither will make it farther after this evening? So Trooper made it today? He's so clutch!

He seems to go on tilt a lot at 1-2 when he is in what he considers to be a good game and starts losing. He also really dislikes the fishiest players and seems to hold a grudge against them. Like someone said he respects the 2-5 regs more.

If he starts running badly and starts tilting then it could go really badly for him. We don’t know how short/long the winning sessions are either.

As for the WSOP you have more options at 5-10 and above, and you have more games to play if you want to play something besides NL. But if all you’re playing is 1-2, 1-3, or 2-5, then you just get ridiculously long waiting lists and in the bigger rooms you’ll see more tables, but also more grinders in town.

All depends when you got in. We'll never know what type of damage anybody has suffered. Or for that matter what kind of profit people are sitting on. It's really hard to say. On the one hand this was the largest market bubble of all time. On the other hand, at the time people were talking about how Bitcoin could hit 100k. So were people still buying at 15k? My guess is yes. A lot of people.......But it's probably a signal when people stop posting crypto vids they have suffered some type of substantial loss.

The games that he always called good at 1/2 seem to be the games that I wouldn't care for actually.

10x preflop raises with 5 callers and 1:1 SPR isn't my kind of game.

Oddly I agree with this, Trooper is at least kind of a minimalist and Jeff just seems to live a life he can’t afford. Let’s not forget in his wildest dreams of what to do with 80k was to buy a red Jeep Cherokee.

I would lean to both being not very successful.

Seems like Boski is just enjoying his youth. The way he does Vegas in his vlogs is everything guys get praised for in TRs in this same sub-forum. "Success" is relative. It reminds me of that Chris Rock joke, "I'm successful, but if Bill Gates woke up tomorrow with my bank account, he would jump off a bridge and slit his throat on the way down".

Good point, I wanna make sure it’s understood I meant future success with poker. I mean it’s America both could go out and find a decent job and live a decent life prolly.

There's nothing wrong with his body, but since he seems to be so self-conscious about it that he feels the need to wear the hoodie in public, and since he claims to have $$ now, he might want to just spend the $1-3k to have some liposuction or a reduction in his chest and belly so he can feel comfortable/confident and be done with it. If he got a job for a few months with good health insurance then the insurance might even cover it if it was classified as gynecomastia.

There were some nitty tables but overall I thought the 1-3 games were far better than usual during the WSOP. People were playing cash games like a tournament, going all-in with draws all the time. It was great.

Sounds about right. He also mentioned in vlogs that he always used to go to a certain Money Tree (or some other fast cash payday loan or bill pay type of place), and that when he was a waiter and his car broke down he did not have a car for several months and he hated it. So to me that means he didn't have enough savings for car repairs and he didn't have good enough credit to buy another car. Now he has leased his last two cars. All indicative of poor financial literacy. Rayz Rayl is like the polar opposite with his financial decisions and look at where they both have ended up.

My favorite Chris Rock line pertaining to "success" was his definition of the difference between being rich and being wealthy. Now this was quite a few years ago back when Shaq was still playing, and I believe was the highest-paid NBA player.

"Shaq is rich; the white man who signs his checks is wealthy."
