But he doesn’t work on his game. I wouldn’t put too much stock into a Vegas reg telling me he can play. Especially when he puts so little effort into trying to improve.

Boski does people a favor when he tells them they smell. It’s an easy issue to fix and these people can become more aware of it and put more effort into not trying to stink in the future.

Unfortunately a lot of people will just be embarrassed and insulted and won’t listen. They would rather smell horribly, be unaware of it and continue to smell in the future.

gonna disagree and say that player is probably a depressed grinder after hearing those segments. obv i don’t approve having a stench in the least and fully approve Boski attempting to rectify the situation, but chances are deece that guy is a “pro” scraping by and has many issues to deal with besides being a dirty basta**, not surprising he would admit to it because “f*** you i don’t care (about anything)” is a common attitude with depression.

i know we can’t go OT with this subject but that guy and the many like him contribute to the ongoing death of the poker boom along with making Magic/Smash Bros./etc. tournaments smell terrible. many gaming stores now have hygiene rules posted, some have supplies in the bathroom but it’s a lot easier to communicate these things and ban/unban players in a 30 person local store that doesn’t have $1.5k entry fees vs. thousands of randoms from all over at the Rio

Vibes is definitely a winning player. Not sure about his brother (I assume he is). So I would assume they’re not that over leveraged, but hard to say really.

iirc Vibes brother is the more accomplished poker player and plays pretty high stakes.

When you're getting it in on the good side of flips, I don't really know what more you want from somebody. Those SNGs are a completely different animal than cash games. The variance is high and the sample size is small. People in threads like these and on YouTube like to focus on results, and I'm sure Jamie Gold and Jerry Yang are glad to have them in their fan clubs, but it doesn't sound like Trooper's results are indicative of bad play.

Whether he's trying to improve doesn't have anything to do with the decisions he's made in the tournament that are over with.
